    Glad you are feeling better. you didn't mention it but did you get body gluide too so you don't chaf?
    I haven't seen you post anything about it but are you a sodium secreter when you sweat? do you have a white "crust" when it dries? if so you may need more sodium for your run in that heat. I know there was a low carber who did the NO marathon in the heat and used 2 of those take out soy sauce packets to replensih her sodium cause she was a secreter.
    you going to be posting afterwards so we can all celebrate with you or you going to make us wait a day to see how well you did? see i know you are going to finish in fine style and be a running Atkins billboard the whole way.

      Yup I am Gunna Put on My shirt.

      Don't think you Can run on ATKINS "WATCH ME!!!!" 107 Pounds Down and still going.

      What a Great Sloagan!!! If people gunna watch me I want them all to know I didn't run Carb Loading I did it all LOW carb what a better way to Put it.

      I am gunna Put that on MY Bib it's gunna BE FABBO!!

      I wouldn't keep ya waiting as soon as I get home and download the Pics I'll be a Posting them you can COunt on that.

      I am a secretor 2BIG I put salt right in my water to keep me going other wise I get pretty sick. That's also why I choose the salted nuts for After as well. I get the white crusties when I run EWWWW.

          2 days till the HALF MArathon

          WOW 2 days I am soooonervous and I ahve been having one heck of a time sleeping LOL. HMMM I wonder why. It's been a long haul here. I did do my 3 miles yesterday it felt good but, it's sooo hot here in the 90's that I am not used to running in that it really took a lot more energy to run then normal. My HR stayed in the training zone though around 14-146 so that's good not any higher.

          SO I ahve to go into red Deer tonight and Pick up my Running Package between 4 and 8 pm then I am gunna Doctor up my numbers all Perfect like with my LOGO. WOOHOOO for me.

          OK I will try and get some sleep but, it's really really hard all I think about is running HA HA HA

            K everyone this is my last Post till tomorrow.

            1 Day till my Half MARATHON

            Can you belive it all the prep all the work and it's finally here WOWEY WOW I am excited. I made up My pancakes to take with me tomorrow for after they are rich in Protein I am gunna make sandwiches to have for after it will be awesome. I ahve everything I need just have to run now.

            Thanks everyone for all your support and encouragement.

              good for you have fun today can't wait till you come back and tell us how you passed all those folk in your later miles as they were running outof gas while your Atkins fired afterburners were going full speed.

                Start slow; pace yourself. 13.1 miles is a long ways. Keep your emotions in check; don't get caught up in the excitement of the race. You waste alot of energy doing that. Don't talk to anyone during the race; focus your energies on one thing; FINISHING. Speed is *not* important. Finishing strong is! Keep to the outside of the "pack" so you don't have to weave in and out of those dastardly WALKERS. (I think people who walk during a marathon shouldn't get the medal)...

                Remember, pain is temporary, but the satisfaction of finishing never fades. Wear that finisher's medal with pride, knowing you did what few others ever dream of doing.

                  yep
                  Make sure whn you start you go your pace as others around you might be going faster then you do and you will get exhausted just doing the first few miles too fast.

                    I'm just busting over here to know how you go! For me it's Sunday at 2.10pm but we are some hours ahead of you and I'm not sure of the time difference. I think it is 12-18 hours depending where in North America you are (east/mid/west). Go Sarah - the runner powered by ATKINS!

                      I did great I paced myself and was passing sooo many people towards the end it ROCKED finished in 2:36:40

                      The long awaited Pictures I did Absoulutely Fantastic I had to walk one little stretch but it was a HUGE hill right before the finish line so all in all in over 2 hours I walked for about 4 minutes maybe and I came in Screaming. I should be getting a few more Pics from the Photographers from the race these are the ones my Hubby snapped for me. YES, I did it all LOW CARB and I am really great right now other then my legs are a bit stiff. YAY ME!!! I CONQUERED THE HALF!!!!!!

                        woo hoo I swear if that medal wasn't around your neck I'd think those were pre race pics you look great not tired or anything! woo hoo!!!!!
