  • Slim in 6!!!

This morning, after putting it off for an additional two weeks I finally got up, said enough was enough, and Started it UP!

    WOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOO!!

I am so super proud of the fact that I finally got motivated enough to start. This is a plan for me so the first time is the hardest but after that I can stick to it and eventually start kicking butt. I felt great this morning, I had the endorphines kicking in super mega time, I was like bouncing off the walls.

I am so sore right now my legs are all shaky. I put on heels today to wear with my dress and immediatly took them off my legs were hurting so much. I opted for flip flops, lol, dresses the outfit down a little bit but that's ok. I know I'm gonna be so sore tomorrow but I'll wake up early and do it again, I can't wait!

Slim in 6 must be in the air. I've done SIU three days in a row and going to try to do it several times a week--it actually felt good to tangle with the squat ****.

          Re: Slim in 6!!!

Yeah, I have been missing her, honestly it's one of the few programs where I have acutally done it consistently enough and have really lost. I lost 6" off of each thigh with the squat ****. Yes it was hard, and over maybe like a 2 to 3 month time period but I am ready to devote that time and shed off another 6, lol, i wish.

Actually my thighs are my biggest problem area right now. Everywhere else I'm pretty small but my thighs are still the thighs of a bigger person. They are 25" at their biggest spot and I would like to get them down to 20 or so, who knows maybe smaller.

The squat **** is really good at shrinking my lower body so I am embracing her cruel and hurtful (literally hurtful, ouch!) ways for the next few months.

I hope to see results by the end of the 6 weeks, I know I am definatly sore!

            Re: Slim in 6!!!

I guess I'm going to convert this into my own personal little slim n 6 post thread where I can come and ***** and moan about how sore I am.

Anyone interested in joining my moaning thread please feel free to do so.

Well I got up this morning and even though my butt and legs hurt really bad as I was getting out of bed a little voice in my head said I should really Start it UP again. I'm glad I did, I can't say I didn't feel the soreness through the workout because I did, but I definatly felt the stiffness leave and blood rushing and all that good stuff. My butt really hurts and my thigs inner and outer are screaming at me, but hey that's whatcha gotta do.

Plus I remember back when I used to do this often that if you don't work out the next day even when your sore that the soreness gets worse the next day. OUCH! So did it this morning, go me. lol, I may not do it tomorrow, I'll see how busy my day goes but I hope to fit it in Sunday. I know that once I get into my groove again I'll be unstopable! Can't wait!

Today I feel like one big throbbing muscle, but I know that by next week I'll feel all of my muscles connected and smooth gliding me through my day, I absolutly love that feeling. Only you excercise junkies know what I'm talking about, I miss it, I want it back!

              Re: Slim in 6!!!

Well I took Saturday AND Sunday off from excercise, kind of. I didn't do Si6 but I did do other stuff including two hours of dancing and bouncing super high on the biggest trampoline in the world. It was a fun weekend. But I needed to Start it UP!

I did it this morning, even though I have a super busy day i still found the opportunity to squeeze in my workout, hooray! I'm not as sore as I was last week but my legs hurt and my arms are feeling it today, last week they weren't sore at all, today they are all shaky.

I'm still doing Start it UP, I'm gonna stick with it until I can do the whole thing without getting sore. I am using three pound weights and its time to move up to four pounds at least for my biceps if nothing else. I'm doing all the lunges this time around, it hurts but if it burns it's working. Let me see what else ... ? Oh, I am committing to do this 4 times a week, so that's 1 for today.

Ok, that's it, I'm gonna go make myself some eggs for breakfast.

OK Yoly, Dang it anyway! I was so sore from the added on weights at the gym yesterday, I figured I would do Start It Up to maybe help me loosen up today. Sure hope I don't regret that decision tomorrow! OMG. I can't believe how much I am sweating! I remember it being EASY!! I guess I will try and do this on my alternate days from the gym. Crap! I mean, Thanks Yoly!!

                    Re: Slim in 6!!!

                    LOL, welcome aboard guys!

Barb - I know! I remember when Start it up was easy too, I can't believe how hard it actually is, eventhough I was doing other stuff it is still hard. I think it's because the type of excercises we do on the tape are targeted for areas on the body that seldom get a good workout. When I work out I have a tendency to use bigger muscles to overcompensate on the excercises and then I don't use the smaller weaker muscles, does that make any sense. I don't know maybe I"m full of it, I do know that I am always sore after Si6 and that's enough for me.

Hey dotSamantha - have you ever done Si6 before, if not get ready for an increadible transformation of your body. I stand by those workouts 100%, they are not easy but I honestly feel that they are what slimmed me down the most. OUCH!

I didn't do any Si6 today, I think I'll be alternating days for a while. So that means I"m gonna do it tomorrow morning bright and early. I did start packing though, and I definatly broke a sweat. Sheesh, I've been going through stuff I haven't looked at in two years, organziing, throwing away, sorting all that good stuff. I have washed like 5 loads and I probably have another 10 before I finish. I am packing up everything and moving boxes around, so I definatly got my cardio in for the day.

                      Re: Slim in 6!!!

Well I did it again this morning, Start it UP. The plies are much easier now and I don't really feel it in my inner thigh anymore. The lunges still kill me but I can get through most of them, plus the squats are getting easier too. I think it may be time to move up to Ramp it Up soon. I'll probably put it off until next weeks just so I can stick with this tape for the rest of the week and start fresh on Sunday. LOL, i'm just being lazy.

I did move up to four pound weights for my biceps and they are feeling a bit sore today. Well I"m off i've got a ton of stuff to do today. Oh, and I only have one more load of laundry to do, I think. Hooray, I did like 15 total, including folding hanging and putting away.

OMG Yoly! My knees and butt hurt! I was hurting yesterday, but in different places! At least those spots don't hurt anymore too LOL. Oh yeah, and my Abs! Sheesh. I thought I was working hard at the gym! I bet I couldn't get through Keep It Up and Tone It Up and all those now! HOw sad is that? We have to live with Debbie forever!!

LOL, I know what you mean Barb, I was so sore at first, only in the second week and its getting a bit easier but I'm sticking with it for the rest of the week. I can't believe that I have to do these workouts forever, but they seem to be the only thing that really works for me and my problem areas, namely buns and thighs, oh and abs, lets not forget those lol.

Well today was my off day from excercise but I decided to try this new workout that my sister let me borrow, Carmen Electra's striptease arobics. It was really cool, not super challenging but about 45 minutes of cardio and I broke a sweat. A nice easy routine to do on my off days. LOL, plus I get the added benefit of learnign all those really cool stripper moves (wink wink). Not that I'll be applying them any time soon especially since I"m coasting the single scene but still another skill in my belt never hurts.

Ooohhh, I have been meaning to look at that one. Is it fun at least?

I am still sore today. But I was back at the gym yesterday with added weights, so I am sure it's a combination of the 2. I just FELT so much slimmer with the Si6! And it really hasnt' been that long since I did the Advanced ones. A few months? I can't believe you can "lose it" that fast! Geez!
Worked long and hard today with my actual job. I dont' know that I am going to get in anything tonight. I am guessing probably not. I am back to my waking up early routine again though. So I am going to try for early morning video tomorrow.

Really embarassing question, but I decided to start slim in 6 again (loved the results it gave me the first time!), and I've forgotten for how long we're supposed to do start it up. Is it just two weeks like the other two segments?
