  • The disappearing backside

So I'm losing weight and working out, all awesome. My butt however is doing a disappearing act. I kind of like it to have curvature, lol. I know squats and lunges help, but what other suggestions do you guys have?

    1. Deadlifts
    2. leg press - the heavier the weight the better

With the big upper region, i like having a booty, it balances things out.

I would have to say stay climber. This is the exact reason I don't do it!!! I wish my booty would do some houdini.... The stair climber is the way to get a bigger/ firmer butt....

sam, we have the stair climbing challenge! there are several of us doing it and stacy is one of them. she is speaking from experience.

if you don't have stairs at your home, you can do this on a stair climber too.

I have the opposite problem... I've always had a big rear end... and it seems everything's getting smaller except it. They say you lose weight last in the first place you gain it though.... so I hope that's right. :P

I have no butt .. never have .. sitting on hardwood chairs is IMPOSSIBLE. I mean I actually have a PROTRUDING tailbone .. ugh. Nobody in my family has a butt .. but a GUT on the otherhand ... they all have those. Sometimes I think God screwed our bodies together backwards and we ended up with a gut where the butt should be .. running took care of my gut, but ain't nothing has helped with the butt.

                    Re: The disappearing backside

I can relate. I actually had to get over the negative sensation of boney butt, because it was actually causing me to psychologically avoid weighing less. It reminded me of times when I was young and less secure than I am now sitting on a curb as a teen. Lots of my friends have the opposite problem. I have a belly and no booty, but they have a big booty and less of a belly. The moral of the story is to love the body your given while maximizing health and well being.
