  • Not-So-Cool-Running for the week of August 20

    Good morning runners/walkers/casual observers!!

Monday: 6.3 miles in before work. It was hot hot hot!! But the good news is, August is winding down, and (hopefully) the heat is too!! Not many "dog days" left on the old calendar for this year! YAY!!!

    Have a great running week!

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I ended up running about 5 miles not too sure waled another 2 miles and then played ball for an hour or so. I am still running just not as far. I am planning on getting my milage back up come winter to see if I could possibly do a full for next year.

I did 4 miles last night, the out and back programme, the idea is the first leg run slowish, and the second leg run it quicker and see how much time I can knock off of the first bit....

          2 miles out - 20:07
          2 miles back 18:44

Re: Not-So-Cool-Running for the week of August 20

Saturday, Aug 26: 13.1 miles done in 2 hours 30 minutes. That's very encouraging because my 1/2 marathon last January was 2 hours 40 minutes. Guess this old lady is getting faster after all!!

                A good week of running this week: 6.3, 6.3, 5.2, 13.1 = 30.9

I know I'm late, I was recovering! 16.4 miles between 10 PM Friday night at 7:15 Saturday night - with no sleep since 6 AM Friday morning. But it was a BLAST. I love Hood to Coast and can't wait until next year!!!
