Re: Cool Running For The Week Of November 5, 2006

    Great job everybody!

5 miles in this morning felt great, wanted to do more but had to get ready for work.
Decent time 55:05, I haven't run under 50 minutes for 5 miles since September of last year, well a little mini-goal for me is to run it under 50 this month. I so can do that. If I run tomorrow that will be a 25 mile week, which is almost better than my best month of '06 which was May at 25.2 miles. I need to get in at least 70-75 more miles to have run more this year than last. It's gonna be tough once it gets colder but this mild weather is nice and helping.

Now I just need to keep this up.

OK where is everyone? I get back to back posts. Is everyone slacking? LOL, I know you're not.

Anyway, I tried to find every excuse not to run this morning even got back undressed and back in bed. Then jumped out, I had to run. So another 5 miles this morning, I messed up I thought that would make 25 for the week but it's 20, I was counting last Friday in my total. So 25 in 8 days is pretty good for me. Two tenth's of a mile more and November will be my best running month of '06, well three tenths actually. I tied my best pace for my first half for '06, coming home wasn't my best but still good. 52:56 was my time so a little bit faster and I'll be back under 10 minute miles, which I have not done this year. I'm less than 3 minutes away so I will break it this month.

WTG, JIM!! You're making quite a comeback!! AWESOME!

As for me, no slacking today .. I did 15.6 miles for my LSD run of the week. That's 32.6 miles this week (4 days) .. not too bad. Need to keep building mileage; the 1/2 marathon is 4 weeks from tomorrow and the Disney marathon is 8 short weeks away.
