Saturday, 5/26: 8.2 mile run on the trail. Hadn't been over there for a LONG TIME .. well the 2 gators that live in the pond are BIGGER THAN EVER...upwards of 12-15 feet in length .. they stay a safe distance away, but still .. its a bit unnerving to say the least! I told DH I hope they're not looking at me and thinking ...'hmmmmmmmm appetizer!"

27.1 miles this week.

Hi everyone~~I just started today the first day of the Couch-5K program! I completed this program 4 years ago, ran for a year, but then injured my back so am just getting back to real exercise now.
So are you just checking in with each week by week, rather than doing it over on the Cool Running forums?

14 miles in. Temps in the 50s. Not bad. Finished with an average 10:20 pace and heart rate of 136.

Looking at running another half marathon next weekend.

Don't know where it came from, but I ain't askin' questions.

Just got out of bed, checked the temp and decided to "sneak" that 14 miler in before it returns to the upper 70s in the next day or so.

It is amazing the difference in "ease" of a run that 10 degrees can make.

Now that I think about it, it's amazing what a difference weighing 5 pounds less can make on running.

Sorry, you know how "chatty" runners can get...

I would KILL for 50s....(and I *ain't* talkin' YEARS here...) We won't be seeing those temps for another 7 or 8 months....grrrrrrrr.
