    How long?

How long does it take for your body to regulate itself (not retain water) once you've started a new exercise regime?
I'm started walking and doing a serious amount of crunches and squats. Today I woke up and had retained water. How long till it goes away?
    Juuuust wondering

I agreed with Emma - about one week and then you should see a difference.

Yep- for me it takes about 7-10 days and then the water/lactic acid flushes. Hang in there!
