I ran yesterday and went longer then I had and ran a little faster I was stoked I went 3.26 miles so I went .10 farther then I did in my runs before that. Last week I went 20 km so pretty happy about that. I have less running days this week I think ya only 3 hopefully I will get it done like I did last week.

Well, I gotta go and do my weights here soon so I will talk to ya all later.

      GREAT JOB, SARAH!!

I just finished my 8 miler for today .. it was warm (well hot I guess low 80s) but not too humid. The first 4 miles were easy, the last 4 .... :nono but I was bound and determined to finish it.

Here's a tip for you if, after your runs, your knees, ankles, feet hurt ... take the garden hose to your legs or as an option, sit on the side of the bathtub and let the cold water run over your joints. I've been doing that for several weeks after my long runs and it truly does help. Just be sure and do it right away. The longer you wait, the more pain you will feel ....

      HAPPY TRAILS!

Well, I'm feeling pretty inadequate here with my little runs that I do! lol

Be that as it may, and all things being relative, I had a good run this morning. The hills took it out of me pretty bad and I know why! This weekend when we were away we had to walk down this looooooong hill in the city to get to the waterfront, and then on the way home we had to walk uuuuuuuuup the same hill. Both bf's and my calves and shins talked about it all day sunday...so this morning mine were still whispering to me.

It was a good solid run, and next week I'm going to extend it a bit more.

Moochie, don't ever feel that way! Girlie, its taken me a year and a half to get where I am now! And believe me, when I first started, 6 blocks were a major accomplishment...and we don't even have hills here!!

Keep at it, girlfriend, you're doing fantastic! :joy

I upped my milage slightly tday went 3.57 miles or 5.71 km in 50 minutes I know it's not fast but, hey 50 minutes WOOOHOOO. Lets have a party on that one. I am pretty pleased with that. Today was a bit harder felt like I was really having to push myself but, I still got it done. When the heck does the euphoria kick in when you run I have yet to feel like I could run forever. I want that darn it.

                GREAT JOB, SARAH!!

50 minutes is fantastic! I was told a long time ago to increase your distance and the speed will automatically increase. And you know what, its true. So keep going to the distance (don't OVERDO IT THOUGH) and you'll continue to get faster and faster.

As for the euphoria .. hon, that WILL come, I promise!!

Super job, Piasabird! WE ARE ALL DOIN' IT!! WOOHOO!! :joy

Off day for me today, 'cept I worked two full days in a row (I'm supposed to be on short term disability and only working 4 hour days...3 days a week ... some disability, huh??)

I'll be back out on the streets tomorrow, bank on that! Hopefully I get can DD to run the 8 miler with me!

Did my route at 6 am this morning....I had a running buddy today!! My friend TOM is here! Oh rapture! Oh joy!! :joy

All in all though, it was a pretty good run, but I felt a little nauseus when I finished...not sure whether it has to do with TOM, or ...well...here..listen..
                          Gross stuff alert!!
When I run, my eyes water and my nose runs...so I carry tissue. I know that a lot of the time I just(sorry) sniff it up and swallow, but I try to blow my nose as I run. It's not allergies...it's just sort of a morning cleanout of my sinuses I guess. Anyway, does this happen to any of you? Do you (sorry again, geez) swallow or spit or just try and blow your nose?

On a secluded part of the trail I tried to spit...but I'm obviously not very good at it..lol

Ya I know it's gross but, if I blew my nose as much as it ran I would have a box of kleenex down my shirt LOL. I just kinda sniff it I am sure you know what I mean LOL. I hate that though it's really not a nice thing.

I did my run yesterday and I am somewhat sore today not sure but, I think it's the weather here really humid and kinda yuck I notice my hands hurt today so I will have totake it east. I am doing Back and Biceps today so that will be good. I am thinking I am going to have a nice hot bath this morning to losten me up.

I had what I think lactic acid build up in my legs yesterday I have done everything the same always stretch but boy I was sore last night not so bad today. I am gunna up my water consumption to help flush it and see how that goes. I may not be able to go as far on Thursday but, I'm sure whatever I do is good.

                            Take care all.

Rest day for me! Work is kicking my fanny ..... big time. I have a pretty physical job and we've been short handed and have had special functions to take care of. I'm pooped.

Besides, it's raining again! :mad2 I walked in it yesterday and got my feet wet, but it just ain't happening 2 days in a row! :nono

Moochie, I can't spit worth a darn either! I don't know what to tell you, woman. My nose was running one morning because it was chilly when I first started out. I just sucked in up and swallowed, but it wasn't very much. Does this come under the heading of "too much information"? Anyone else want to chime in on this issue?

                              Good day all! :wave
