Follow doctor's orders, Sarah, and get better soon. :hug

Here's my second day of exercise this week. I'm half way to the goal that I set for myself. I decided to go out for a bike ride ..... since someone stole my $30.00 pedometer out of my bag at work the night before last. :sadblinky

      Anyway ........

      Distance 20.024 miles
      Average speed 12 mph
      Time 1:40:25

It was quite a challenging ride with a lot of hills. The day is absolutely beautiful. I passed a bunch of people parked by the highway with cameras and stuff, looking up at a huge tree. It was an Eagle nest and you could see the babies peaking their heads up. I wish I had taken my camera.

I wanted to ride longer but then I realized that I was out in the noon sun and hadn't put on any sunscreen. :yikes

Have a great day all! :wave

P-Bird- 20 miles that's amazing! I have been tempted to go out on my bike but I am totally afraid I would not make it over the smallest hill lol, such a wimp! That's a bummer that you lost your pedometer, or rather someone stole it. I got mine for cheap, 6 bucks. I thought about buying the more expensive one but I am glad I got the cheaper one considering how much money I have spent on gear recently. HRM, shoes, stopwatch, pedometer WATP videos, new sweats and soon some new socks too. I was also considering geting a fitball but maybe I should wait a bit. Oh yeah and I am gonna go buy some rollerblades one of these days.

Anywho great job on the riding!

Thanks for the compliment, Susan. I started out 5 yrs. a go, barely able to do 10 miles without dying. I must have fallen off my bike 3 times that summer and twice the following year! If I can do it, you can do it. You just start out slow.

I'm getting another pedometer. I won another one on eBay. I'm also looking at heart rate monitors ...... and so are a lot of other people ....... because I keep getting outbid every time. lol

What kind of socks are you getting? I looked at some that have an arch support in them. I have problems in that area and figured I could use all of the help I could get. I bought new running shoes, but the first day I wore them my arch on my left foot started hurting. I bought some Dr. Scholls inserts and I hope that helps. Someday I hope to be able to afford better shoes.

Rollarblades! :yikes I don't think I could do that! I'm lucky to balance myself on my bike!

          Have a wonderful day, people!

All I know is the socks I have are just not working for me. I think they are too big or something because they keep sliding down into my shoe. if you know of any good ones let me know.

The best running socks I've found are at either a specialty running store or like a sports store (Sports Authority or Finish Line) .. get the ones with the cool max label .. Cool max is awesome and will allow your foot to breathe and not sweat quite as much. The ones I buy aren't cheap, but they hold up well and some are guaranteed for 2 years. Just be sure they say COOL MAX .. Actually you can find sports bras with cool max linings which I also recommend if you're running in the heat and sweating alot. One of my sports bras doesn't have the cool max and I nearly need the jaws of life to get it off after a heavy-duty run!! :yikes The cool max lined ones are much easier to get off, even after sweating like a pig!

Ok, I went a little overboard but, I felt great how awesome is that. I Jogged 4.2 miles in 60 minutes adn was at a 4.2 mile per hour pace the whole time. How proud I am of myself. I really think the vitamin B12 deficiencey was really holding me back WOW. I feel so alive now. I did it. WOOOHOOO.

                  Take it easy weights tomorrow.

YAY Sarah, you are back!!! :hug Wow, I may be able to walk 4 miles but to be able to run it the whole way really is an achievement. Don't push too hard though K? I know it's hard because exercise is so addicting but we want you all better.

Oh, my goodness thank you I am back and HEY I gotta tell you somehting I think I have been messed up for a while. See, I jogged longer then usual and at a sust6ained speed and after I wasn't even sore, Before the B12 I was always so sore I could hardly walk and also I had severe coughing episodes. Now I am thinking this was because my body was starved of oxygen cause of the B12 deficiencey and now that I have been getting the injections I feel sooo much better it's not een funny. The muscle soreness that has plagued me foa a long time is gone. I am sleeping so great and I feel like I can really do things amazing what one thing messed up in the body will do.

Sarah, you're going to be running circles around us!!!

On the subject of socks and sport bras:

I just wear regular white sport socks and my feet seem fine...is it necessary for me to search for special socks?

I have a SUPER great sports bra by Speedo...if this bra was a building, it would be Fort Knox!! It has me so secure it's unbelievable. That's our biggest pet peeve when we're out walking, to see a woman flopping all around on her run...geeeeez, doesn't that hurt??!

It's not the prettiest bra, but it sure feels great, and I'll be sad when the time comes that I have to replace it.

I'm afraid I'll never know....the girls have run away from home for good!

As for the socks, well, when you start getting into the heat of summer and increasing miles, some socks can actually cause skin irritation if they don't 'breathe' well ... I actually got blisters last summer from regular socks so that's why I switched to the ones with cool max lining. It did help alot!!

Yup I know how you feel Betty my girls are deflating like me....it's a good thing though it doesn't take much to keep me from flopping. I am in a B and I still have 50 to go LOL. Seems they will be lost with the rest of me but, I'm glad I can always buy some silicone stuffers. HA HA HA HA. May have to if I get to that point. I'll just do lots of bench press and chest flies so I have really defined pecks then I can be flat and still have clevage.

As a woman with size DD who used to be DDD, no it doesn't hurt to have them flop, flop, flop. But boy what I wouldn't give to have them deflate to a B cup or even a C cup. Shirts just don't fit right with these DD hanging ':confused' --- if I get a M it fits nice in the shoulders but is so snug in the chest, and if I get a L it fits nice in the chest but is so large in the shoulders and everywhere else--UGH!! I used to be 44DDD and am now a 38 DD, but a 38 DDD really fits too so they haven't shrunk like I would like. DH is happy though. (is this the woman's only forum---':laughing'

I am a D cup and mine hurt if they flop. I have a pretty good bra but the back strap is on the tightest hooks. I will be flopping soon. I am not deflating too badly yet. I don't want to be a D cup but I don't want to sag too much either. Want to wait till goal and then have whatever needs correcting corrected. DH says if I lose weight I can have what I want done. I have big plans ladies, one is to fix the girls.
