  • Power 90 DVD's

Okay, so I got the Power 90 DVD's in the mail yesterday and wanted to get started right away. So, I hopped on the treadmill for 20 min to get warmed up since I was starting with the Sculpt 1-2. It kicked my butt, I had to stop and catch my breath several times and ultimately, I couldn't finish the DVD. I guess I didn't realize circuit training would be so intense. So that is my goal for the next 60 days, being able to complete the entire 1-2 DVD set so I can move on to the 3-4 DVD's.

Now, I do have some heart issues that sometimes make working out difficult at best, but if taking my medication I should be able to do it.
I WILL learn to feel comfortable in my own body again!

    I have the whole set.

It's definitely for people who have some kind of athletic background. I wouldn't recommend for beginning exercisers.

Size 10 by August 2009? It's mine for the asking and mine for the taking.

Yeah, my friend really likes P90X but that looks too intense for me, that's why for now I'm sticking with the original Power 90. I figure I'll do as much as I can, I actually made it through 2/3 of the DVD, and eventually I will get stronger and more fit and be able to complete the DVD.

        Re: Power 90 DVD's

So I tried to do the Sculpt 1-2 today and made it all the way through except for the final set of pushups and the chair dips, my arms were just way too worn out and rubbery at that point. I did much better this time, it probably has something to do with the fact that the first time I tried it I was still recovering from the stomache flu.

WOW! How exciting and congrat for starting such a hard program. I've been trying to talk myself into ordering it and trying too. I even put up a challenge in the men's section that if someone would order and start with me we could do it together. No takers yet. Good luck, bet you'll see some exciting changes before long. You'll finish that whole workout soon, I can hear you trying

I have the P90X. It warns you that you should be doing that only after working out consistently for a while or after doing P90 without trouble. It's really fantastic (read as it kicked my butt).

Scott, why don't you do it with Hullabaloo?? It's the same program, right??

Scott, Lyssie has a wonderful idea. There are 2 other people on these boards I'm doing it with! I've already started but they aren't starting until Monday, you can join us as soon as you get it in the mail.

I tried to get one off ebay half price last night. In the last minute several people with only 1 or 2 posts came in and jacked up the price. Sounds fishy to me. lol. I'll probably order it this weekend. I'll let you know and thanks.

I have these but never started the program, what were your results for anyone using them? I need to step up my workouts with something other than the TM, bike, etc.

I have the pilates chair, bot it cheap and have been using it for the last few days. It is a great workout!

i did P90 (the old system) during my 1st go-around with Atkins a few years ago - i only got through 30-days, but I toned up quite a lot during that short period. So, here i am again - everything i need to get my rear in gear: new P90 system and hand weights bought|groceries ordered|commitment made!

i won't be starting Atkins, or pushing play, until tomorrow, but i'm in with yall too!
