He just said that we don't know why I am having the headaches. He is doing lots of bloodwork to see if anything shows up that could be causing that too. Stumps me why the heck they didn't do anything to find the clots and make sure that they aren't somewhere else besides the surface veins. They did rub my legs and check there and said that if I had DVT that it would be tender there. That's about the extent of what they did at the office. Feel like I wasted my money and will let them know that on Thursday when I go back for the recheck and results of the bloodwork. I have been nervous about this today as I had another on in my wrist this afternoon that was stinging and burning. And the headaches are still there, went to bed but couldn't sleep much last night because of them. Let up somewhat this afternoon and am managing.
so you have SVT and the headache isn't related. bet the stress is helping your headache feel much worse. your doc is doing the right stuff for SVT checking for migration and such and running blood tests to see if any of the know causes can be detected.
when do you get your test results back?

Well if it makes you feel any better.......I had the ultrasound test. Gosh. That was on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Anyway. I had the test, they said it wasn't DVT and they still did nothing else. Said to keep the leg elevated and rest. That thing hurt for a long time. My adorable Golden Retriever caused mine. He jumped onto my bed, I was laying on my stomach and all 85 pounds of him landed on my calves!!
Hope you are feeling better!

OMG I finally figured it out, thanks to another post on here that got replied to and ended up in the "new posts" section. Thyroid Problems was the name of it. Now I know why they are testing my thyroid. Here is the symptom list and the one's marked are the symptoms I have.
Hypothyroid Symptoms:

youhave a lot of the symptoms of hypothyroid but those symptoms can be other things too which is why your doc is doing all the testing. just as your SVT is a symptom of many things and once they find the cause they can take corrective measure to prevent more.
Hope your headache feels better real soon ands your tests show conclusive results so you can get rid of your SVT
Blood Clots can be a pain! I discovered I had a blood clot in my lower left calf. My calf had swollen so big that it was the size of my thigh. I was on bedrest and off of work for about 3 weeks. You really need to get that taken care of. Not to scare you...I had to give myself shots and take a pill twice a day for two weeks.
My blood clot came from switching birth control methods...from the NuvaRing to the Ortho Evra patch. Don't hesitate have the doctor to give you a doppler (device that can discover a blood clot).

Ok, back to square one. I just got home from the doctor with a headache worse than the last ones. My TSH was normal 1.16. My bloodwork was normal. Now to start the search again of why I am having the symptoms I am having, why the blood clots, now have an awful sore throat since this morning that, of course, has tested negative for strep even though I have the white pus all over my swollen tonsils. They have sent another culture to the lab and did more bloodwork. Have to go back in a week.
I had a DVT in my left calf back in 98 and they discovered that I have a condition called Protein S deficiency.
There are two proteins, S and C. C is what causes your blood to clot when your body needs it to and S is what clears away the clot after it's done it's job. You may ask them to check for that.
I'm SO glad you went to your doctor (I just saw this thread today!) because clots are never anything to be casual about. It's important you get to the bottom of this.

I suffer from protein c deficiency. and yes it can be very painful and not something that should be taken lightly. I am glad you getting it checked by your doctor.
Doctor! NOW! Not tomorrow. You want to be there to watch your kids grow up don't you. Make that appointment NOW and tell them it is urgent. If it turns out is wasn't, well, better to be safe than sorry.
