You are dead right about the vitamins. My pee is bright orange after I have taken them.

Rich - changes during the day from orange to almost clear. It's never completely clear, even after having four pints in an hour, say.
thats probably not the best way to get your water in, try and spread it out during the day

Helena - Most people sweat, even underwater... they just kind of discount that they would be sweating during that time since they're already wet so they don't really feel it. I turn bright red if I start overexerting myself, but usually am red and sweaty if just regular exertion.

Why are you taking so much that you turn orange?? You *could* actually be dehydrated like that... it's hard to tell if you're taking like, 300% of a vitamin like, say, C, or a B-Complex type...

Have you seriously measured how much ummm... "output" you have, or is it a rough estimate??

It's a rough estimate, Lyssie. I take an expensive A to Z multivitamin from Boots The Chemist, plus chromium, ALA, and that algae thing that I have forgotten the name of.... oh what is it called? Nope, forgotten. Aha! Spirulina.

Emma - I listen to my body and give it what it needs. When I get up in the morning I am extremely thirsty and I drink two pints of warm water immediately, then I go back and get another two pints because I am still thirsty, and drink them down in about 45 minutes.

Has anyone had to same problem as me? Has anyone on here taken diuretic tablets?

            Helena -

I'm going through something similar just now, and I asked my dr. and he said he's not worried, since all of my bloodwork looks fine and my kidney and liver functions are ok.

The nurse practitioner suggested that I experiment with the following: cut out all salt for 3 days; eat more veggies that are known diuretics (asparagus, for example, and watermelon - which is forbidden!); reduce the water I drink (I was going for about 90 oz a day, and am cutting back to 64 oz for 5 days), exercise more.

I think that our body hangs on to water when we lose a large amount of fat - just to keep things in place. It'll be released sooner or later!
