I was put on a holter monitor last week because I was having heart palpitations all the time, and they were driving me nuts. I had oral surgery the past couple weeks and I chalked the palps up to anxiety about the surgery, taking antibiotics, etc.
Well, the holter showed I had about 40 PVCs in one day (not dangerous or anything, just that they were there) so Dr. was wondering when my last thyroid check was. It was only a few months ago but she decided to run them again. My TSH was .079 now, which is lower than it should be (.540-5.700). She said this might be why the palpitations are more numerous. We cut the armour back from 135 mg to 120 and we'll retest again in a few weeks.
I'm glad the palpitations were nothing serious, but seriously, you'd think if I was lower my weight should have rolled off this summer instead of my nice 1-2 pounds a week (if that!). I wonder how long it will take for the palpitations to lessen? I hope not another 2-3 weeks LOL.
