My new treadmill is my best friend! I also like biking, stepping and exercise videos -- I get bored quickly so I need variety!

Free weights and resistance bands. Really like strength training; really dislike cardio.

Qi Gong & Tai Chi because they make me feel graceful(ish).

All kinds of Wii stuff: Wii Fit and Sports Resort are my favs. Plan to get the new walking one (Walk It Out) when it comes out in a couple of weeks and thinking of getting Just Dance. Still not in shape enough for Sports Active.

Zumba 'cause it's fun and mentally I think I am still a disco queen.

WATP when I'm in a hurry or don't really want to do anything. In less than half an hour I get a good workout.

It is a big investment. The Wii + Wii Fit Plus bundle is about $300 plus $20-$40 for additional games. I've had good luck getting used games at Game Stop for much cheaper.

I was vary wary when I bought mine. First, I don't play video games and sucked at the ones I tried. I was very much a newbie gamer and fortunately a very nice woman at Best Buy helped me out as I didn't even know what to buy at first. Secondly, I was afraid this might be another dust collector like my Bosu ball (still in the box) and stability ball (also still in the box).

When I bought my Wii, I first started with the Wii Sports that came with the console. LOVED it and enjoyed bowling and some of the other sports. For the first time in a long time, I felt athletic. Took me a while to warm up to the Wii Fit. Making my Mii was fun but after that, well it was exercise and I didn't care for the fact that a machine was telling me that I was obese and much older than I am (Wii age). It's growing on me though and I try to do it most days. The balance games alone have made a huge difference for me. I then got Sports Resort because it is LOTS of fun.

I think it is a good investment. It got me up and moving on an almost daily basis.

p.s. Someday I might buy an actual video game.

Re: What's your exercise of choice

I walk twice a day....Im trying to drum up the courage to go swimming at the local pool...I don't feel like exposing my flab to the world right now...it's confronting...but walking isn't really enough...

I broke 6 bones in both legs a few years back and my knees are um *laughing* shonky...so I figure swimming is the kindest thing I can do to build some extra muscle...

I can't afford the gym or any equipment so I'm going to have to improvise...maybe some resistance training...not sure

I snowshoe, since it's winter, and hike in the summer. About 5 miles/3 times a week on average. I'm doing the Wii again this winter, stopped this summer, since it's so darn cold, windy and icy outside.

have to work off the 3 pounds I gained in the last month!

I use DVDs for both. Actually I do everything at home. Some day I hope to be thin enough and in shape enough to try classes.

No but I will. Thats a great idea.

Miz, if you could come to my water arobic class you would smile. The instructor and most of the class are rather large folks. I fit right in. Try Curves, if you have the $$, they are also ladies who want to lose.

I was going to join Curves but decided to spend the money on a Wii. It was the right decision for me especially where I divide my time between two homes that are 100 miles apart.
