    Woohoo!

Sending out positive girlie vibes to g-mom!

I'm still a whopping 100 pounds to goal, so even when people are like, "OMG! You lost 100 pounds!" I'm not excited about that. I've got 100 pounds to go.

    You look fantastic, BTW! :hug

It won't be long til you can join the 100 pound lost club.. And that in itself is a great feeling.. I know about feeling overwhelmed, I started at a higher weight than you, and unfortunately, I was never thin and so I have no "images" of a thin me in my mind. But, what helps me is to look back at where I came from.. I look at pics of me at my heaviest (which are few cause I always avoided the camera)..and I know that even if I never lost another pound, I can be happy that I am not that person, and I feel so good now..
I have done alot of soul searching regarding a goal weight, and it has been really hard cause I have never been thin, and so I don't know what I want to weigh. But lately, I have come to feel that as long as I am eating healthy, exercising, and feeling good, I am not gonna worry so much about that "number on the scale"

I say congratulations on your loss.. In this case, focus on what's behind you and what you have already done, instead of what is ahead that you still have to conquer. It really does help my self esteem!!

I think you've done a fantastic job! I know how it is to wear those fat goggles. They are a protection and it is hard to take them off. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

                Hi G-Mom,

I understand perfectly where you are coming from. I too thought I didn't belong in the "cc club" because I only wanted to lose 92 lbs, not 100. Well, lo and behold, I've lost over 100 lbs and am feeling great. But the fat goggles remain. I figure they'll disappear in time. Meanwhile, I'm just enjoying being healthy and getting on with my life.

Take care, you are doing great.

This is the first time I've ventured into the Century Club - still trying to catch up on all subjects to see if I can answer my own questions! I'm glad to read your post. I've not been doing Atkins very long and I've already felt that I have sooooo very much weight to lose that I'll never see the end and why am I bothering. Some days I can't seem to shake that feeling and other days I feel so good I swear I'll never go back to eating carbs again. I could go on and on but really all I wanted to say was thank you for that post. I'm not alone, others feel just like I do, I can do it too!!!

                  :yes

I go to the doc next week and will officially weigh in so I can reset my ticker!

You do look great! Even your face has really transformed as well, losing that much weight really changes how you look on the outside. Just enjoy your healthier self and keep working towards your goal!

That's why I'll keep coming back here. The encouragement and all of your successes are inspiring and I don't have to worry what anyone will say when I tell them it's Atkins that's making the difference.

                            G-Mom,
Thanks for the post. Your story has given me new hope. I was off program for a few weeks - but I'm back. I have 100 lbs to lose and it seems so far away. But stories like yours really help those of us who need hope.
                            Thanks again

G-mom, I feel your pain! I have lost 85lbs in a very short time--which I'm proud of, but when I think about the 40lbs that I have left to lose I'm like :yikes! So I'm trying to take it in spurts. I tell myself "you only have 15lbs to have lost 100lbs, you only have 25lbs to lose to be 200lbs, and after that you only have 15 more lbs to lose and you're there!" When I think of it that way, I can't help but get excited.

Then to think that I lost 26lbs from March 10th- April 10th! This means I may actually only have about a month and 1/2 til I'm at my goal!

Believe me, you are not alone in the way you feel. Sometimes it is kind of hard to get happy about how far you've come, when you think of how far you still have to go :hug :hug :hug :hug :hug :hug :hug

The most important thing is that we are making this happen, and for us, it is actually happening faster than it is for others...I seriously doubt that we would have lost this much weight in this amount of time, on any other diet. Just be glad you chose this one, and it has continually worked to your advantage. Next stop goal!
