  • Knee troubles

Knee troubles finally drove me to see an orthopod. X-rays showed some arthritis and the MRI showed debris, a cyst and arthritis. I opted for cortisone instead of surgery so I could lose more weight and not limp while I'm doing it. Anyway.... he asked me what diet I'm following and when I hesitated he said "You've gone lo-carb haven't you". I said yes and he told me that's how he lost all his weight. He was excited at my loss so far and very encouraging for keeping it up. It was SOOOO good to not hear something negative from an MD!! :yes Now if I could just get past this stall. The scale hasn't moved in a week and I haven't cheated! :sadblinky

If I am not mistake cortizone is a steriod, won't that affect your loss?

I think it's the steroids that you take in pill form that effect weight loss. I had a series of the shots in my back a couple of years ago and it didn't effect weight one way or the other though I was avoiding the weight issue then so maybe I just blocked it out! We'll find out for sure this time....
