    servings

    Hi,

That makes 6 servings. I will usually have a thin slice with something else, if im still hungery. Im always weary of anything that tastes too good. Did I read that post right that you can also have olives and avocados in addition to your salad?

Also, what are your thoughts on general calorie intake. I was eatting very little in the beginning and now my appetite has really grown.

    Thanks

I thought it was too late!

:nono At 452 pounds I cried....fearing that it was too late to do anything about it! However, God has given me the strength to begin again. In the past I have had great success with LC WOE, but would always run back to the wrong foods and eating patterns when a crisis would arise! I have begun again though, carrying around 450+ pounds on a 5'6 body is pretty difficult! I haven't lost it all....I've only just begun....but I'm down 18lbs in about 3 weeks (only the 3rd week was induction....the first 2 I was still psyching myself up to get going again!) I am solidly in Ketosis now and life is GOOD! I'm still 434 lbs.....but my mood has already increased~! Good luck to all...and by the grace of God...someday I'll be posting on this thread as having LOST 200+ pounds!

Congrats DeeDeeKnight for having the courage and stength to start. I know how hard or insurmountable it can seem when you are just starting. You are already on the way to writing that success story. The hardest part for me was the starting correctly after that it was inertia. The person who lost the first 18 pounds CAN lose the final 200. Remember as well we are here for you if you need the support.

Re: Have you lost 200 pounds?

I have lost 250 lbs, and I am now only 10 lbs from goal.

              My story:
At 430 lbs I had all but given up on life. I would plan my day on how many times I needed to go up and down my stairway, I had to sit to cook or to do the dishes. I couldn’t even make my bed without getting out of breath.

People kept telling me, “switch to diet pop”, I did that 20 years ago, “switch to skim milk”, I did that 10 years ago, “eat cereal for breakfast”, I did that 5 years ago, nothing seemed to work!!

Then a friend of mine, Dan, started doing Atkins, he lost over 50 lbs, and kept telling me I should try it. I kept telling him “I’m a lost cause, nothing works for me”, and that “I am simply destined to be overweight”. Well Dan never gave up on me, and one day he went out and bought me the Atkins book, threw it at me, and said “just read it”. Well I did read it, and it described me to a tee, so I started doing Atkins in September of 03. I have lost 250 lbs!!! and 18 pant sizes!!!

Dan encouraged me all the way, he saved my life!!! And I thank him everyday for that.

I now have a treadmill and do a 20 minute morning workout and a 40 minute evening workout.

I am like a kid again; I like to go out and “play”.

I don’t have to worry anymore if I will fit in that seat at the movie theater, or that a restaurant may only have a booth. I can actually go shopping for my clothes instead of having to special order them from a catalog.

I played golf with my son for the first time ever!!!

I don’t even think about those stairs anymore!!!

              Dave

The nest thing I'm aiming for is the next 100 pounds lost, that will take me up to 200 pounds lost.

I'm currently at 120 pounds lost.

I don't know the time frame, but I promise to come back here and post if I do!

At highest weight, I had 200 pounds to lose. I've lost about 60 so far, so the numbers are getting less staggering. I loudly applaud anyone who can lose that much weight without surgery (which I almost resorted to), and Im hoping that I can applaud myself one day.

I can resist everything except temptation.
