    Sorry Debbie and WOW Jamie!

Whoops it's Deflating Diva - very funny lady, she should write a blog daily and I for one would read it.

I am never less than astonished to see Cleochatra's before & after photos. You are so beautiful!!!! If at the end of my weight loss journey I look like you my darling I would be a very happy piggie! I would lerve to see more pics of you - you are most definitely my inspiration. Send me some & I will print them & stick them on my door so I see them when I am tempted to go to the chocolate shop.

My name is Paul and I live in Boston MA, I am 27 years old and will be married for three years next month. I have always been fat since first grade and I think in the past 6 or so years I have gained 120+lbs from always having sitting jobs such as driving a cab or working in an IT 'helpdesk' for 12 hours a day.

I have been on this WOE for just over a month and have lost 30lbs so far, I now finally have 196lbs to loose still but I must admit it feels and sounds much better than 222lbs to loose I started out with.

We will probably try to have children in the next 2-3 years I want to make sure I am in good enough shape to keep up with them

I currently have Sarcoidosis and my doctor told me I am borderline diabetic, my mother diet of diabetes and my father has it pretty bad so I am trying to stop the cycle. he has said without a doubt if I loose all the weight I will have no problem.

Zolgor, welcome to the board. I saw that you had Sarcoidosis...My MIL had that. So glad you are taking this move to improve your health. You're doing great...keep it up! I started with 230 pounds to lose, so I know where you're coming from!

My name is Becky. I've been married to the same man for 29 years. We have two daughters. One is married (26yrs old) with two boys (joys of my life) and the other one (22yrs old) still lives with us. My husband is ex-military and currently an otr truck driver. I used to drive truck with him (team driving) but now I work at a Child Development center for children ages 2-10 yrs. I love my job.

We've lived in Europe for 7 1/2 years and in Hawaii for 3 1/2 years and the rest of the military time we spent at various military bases stateside.

I write children's books and stories. Mostly middle grade and young adult, but I've had some small children's stories published in magazines. I've also had a bit of poetry and articles published. I am the President of the State Writer's League and editor of two newsletters. I love writing and all aspects of it. Last year I organized a large two day conference which turned out to be a big success. I am in the process of organizing another one this year.

I started Atkins over a year ago with 140 pounds to lose. I've made a serious committment to lose the weight once and for all. I've been overweight my entire life. I have 36 more pounds to lose to reach goal.
Its not been an easy time, but I think that I've learned more about myself the past year than I could imagine. I think the lessons we learn as we shed the pounds and get healthier are very important, so I try to keep a positive attitude in all the ups/downs in my journey.

I contribute the success I've had the past year with the friendships and information I've received here in the ADBB. The support and encouragement here is phenominal and has kept me motivated.

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.
