alcohol was one of the things that i enjoyed occasionally & when i did i would overdo it. For me, it is best to just steer clear of it.

Pretty wise thinking - if something is messing you up, steer clear from it for at least a few weeks. You can always return to it later and try it again once the temptation to fall away is gone. Good job at self -evaluation...

gonnabethin... same here. I've cut out the alcohol completely for a while. Far too many empty calories, far too often, and a few too many just makes me lethargic for days (thus zero exercise).

You're doing the smart thing by staying clear of alcohol. A beer always leads me to a plate of nachos or chips. It can be really socially akward to pass on alcohol . Its the old "wet blanket" syndrom. I've started calling my friends/family up to go shopping with me. I try to spend time with them doing "atkins friendly" activities, that way I dont feel bad about turning them down when they want to hit parties or bars.

            stay strong,

            V.
