I'm getting antsy!!! He was supposed to arrive in California early this morning, and he promised to call me as soon as he could. It's now just after 12 Noon and nothing yet. I'm dyin!!!!!!

You're absolutely right Lauren. I have lots of time off from work, and my mom will be watching DS, so there's no reason for me NOT to go. Well, unless Rita is hanging out for an extended period in Arkansas, as they predict....

He hasn't called yet!!! He was supposed to be in on Saturday morning, and here it is Wednesday afternoon...and nothing. I called the base on Monday afternoon, and they said he hadn't arrived yet. Since I'm not a wife, they don't have to tell me anything, so I haven't called them again---I didn't want to wear out my welcome.

I was supposed to be off this week, but I went back to work today. I thought it would be better for me to keep busy, not to mention save vacation time. I've delved back into my regular schedule and tried to put my worry on the back burner. When he DOES call I'll deal with time off then.

The ladies on my Army wives & girlfriends board are telling me that this does happen sometimes. Argh!!! My gut is telling me that he's safe, and that he will call "soon"...whatever "soon" means.

Wow, JoAnne, how frustrating not to hear anything. I hope he calls you soon and you can still get away to see him even if it's just for a short visit. {{HUGS}}
