Wow! It's been so long since I've posted (eventhough I've been sneaking around whenever I have time).
Short story. I fell in love. I got married. I got fat and happy. I got accepted into a cut-throat nursing program. I got stressed and got fatter.
I've gained back every single pound I lost. The worst parts about it - 1) I'm more educated in the medical field now and have returned to the sick feeling of fearing for my life if I don't get this weight back off; 2) I feel like my bad habits have rubbed off on my husband. When we got married almost 9 months ago, he was at a perfectly healthy weight. He's now 40 pounds overweight. He was diagnosed as diabetic when he was at a healthy weight. (He's hispanic, and diabetes is super-common.) 3) When we married, we eloped. On our one year anniversary, we are planning to do the full ceremony and reception and are determined to shed pounds between now and then; 4) I'm back to old my routine of feeling absolutely terrible and tired all the time.
I can't begin to tell you how much it warms my heart to see everyone doing so great. The pictures have re-inspired me. I'm glad to see the same people I used to know, as well as seeing so many new names and faces - while I wonder what happened to others I used to know.
I know I said I'd keep this short, but for those who remember me, they know that this IS short for me.
Onward and downward!
