  • Same song, different verse.

Wow! It's been so long since I've posted (eventhough I've been sneaking around whenever I have time).

Short story. I fell in love. I got married. I got fat and happy. I got accepted into a cut-throat nursing program. I got stressed and got fatter.

I've gained back every single pound I lost. The worst parts about it - 1) I'm more educated in the medical field now and have returned to the sick feeling of fearing for my life if I don't get this weight back off; 2) I feel like my bad habits have rubbed off on my husband. When we got married almost 9 months ago, he was at a perfectly healthy weight. He's now 40 pounds overweight. He was diagnosed as diabetic when he was at a healthy weight. (He's hispanic, and diabetes is super-common.) 3) When we married, we eloped. On our one year anniversary, we are planning to do the full ceremony and reception and are determined to shed pounds between now and then; 4) I'm back to old my routine of feeling absolutely terrible and tired all the time.

I can't begin to tell you how much it warms my heart to see everyone doing so great. The pictures have re-inspired me. I'm glad to see the same people I used to know, as well as seeing so many new names and faces - while I wonder what happened to others I used to know.

I know I said I'd keep this short, but for those who remember me, they know that this IS short for me.

    Onward and downward!

Getting accepted into my college's program was fattening too. hahaha
Congratulations on that though, and on taking steps to work on a healthier, slimmer you!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

If you've succeeded once, I'm sure you can do it again. And this time you'll have a buddy, your dear husband! And the extra motivation of controlling his diabetes. Good luck.

Thank you all so much for your congrats and encouraging words. My plan is to pretty much do everything exactly the way I did the first time since I had so much success. Only this time, I'm going to plan even more. Also, I'm going to incorporate some stress reducer/control methods.

It's great to be back!.... feels like returning home after a long time away.
