Jasmain - read your post and I thought - why use a store bought dressing? You could make up a bottle of your own just olive oil and vinegar, for zero carbs!

Yum ~ Cracker Barrel! They make the best bacon, hands down! I drove across country last year and we ate breakfast at Cracker Barrels along the way. I actually ended up losing weight on vacation! And i can thank CB (& Atkins of course) for that...

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any stores in the Pacific Northwest. So i am bummed... maybe we can get them to build one in Washington one of these days!

I don't trust companies with "Atkin's menus" since I've never believed they are induction friendly, or atkins friendly... but i'm a little paranoid. I think Applebees, Friday's, Ruby Tuesday's, On the Border, and Macaroni Grill (yes, it's a pasta place) all have special sections on their menus or have within the past year. Friday's has a really good balsamic vinagrette for salads, and you can substitute broccolli for fries. Tuesday's has mashed cauliflower, but if I remember correctly, it has more carbs than I would have thought, though I'm not sure if this is just because it's a veggie and their carbs always suprise me. Oh, and Blimpie's has salads, Subway can make any sandwich into a salad... I think that's about it (So I eat out a lot).

Another good restaurant usually is a Mongolian Grill. You control what you put on, and the absence of sauce. Unfortunately, there can be a language barrier at times as I found out recently in Rapid City. We went to a new one on vacation, and I thought he was saying Soy Sauce or Hot Sauce, and it turned out to be terryaki. He drenched my food, and I didn't realize the mistake until I heard him better the second time.

Re: Atkins on the menu? Questions for you

If you wonder about what your choices will be when presented a menu at the restaurant, you may decide to look on the website for the restaurant in advance and "pre-select" what you will order so that you aren't making any impulsive decisions when at a restaurant while your friends and family are ordering.

              Best wishes.
