  • Just popping in to say hello

    Hi everyone, i am just sort of making the rounds introducing myself as i am hitting induction hard on Saturday. I am currently finishing up the lowcarb yogurt, nuts and such in my house with my carbs averaging about 30 a day or so. i am losing weight even with this so that is good.

    I've decided i need to hold myself to some expectations, and the basic truth appearance does matter and i am not happy with how i am so my appearance matters to me.

    I have about 130 lbs to lose. I know that to do this it will take hard work. I have to be willing to work for it to achieve it. I am willing to work hard for this. Its going to take a change of mindframe, dedication and persistance on my part. This is the only way this will happen. Its up to ME, and only ME.

    I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone. I am single, live alone, work at a high stress job, and hate exercise lol but want to become an exercise addict instead of a couch addict. I am an emotional self-sabotager, especially during PMS which i do for about 2 weeks all the time hard. So i will need to spend these next 2.5 weeks preparing for that trigger.

    Hi Sher! Welcome to the Century Club!

            Hi sillygirl, thanks for the welcome. I am starting Saturday because i have a plan. I have done induction in the past, started and stopped this way of life many times, and through analysis have found that if i start it willynilly and not focused, its easier for me to make a decision its okay to have a little of this and that.

            So basically, i will feel more balanced and in control if i give myself until Saturday to completely organize my plan and implement it.

            I hope that makes sense.

              I completely understand! Please keep us posted as to how it's going for you. I might also suggest you creat a journal for yourself in journal chats. It's a terrific group of people there and the support is amazing!

                  Welcome to our CC family

                  It sounds as if you have a great plan going and will soon become a big loser!
                  Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                    I'm a neighbor (sorta) and live about an hour south of you. It is good to see another face from Tennessee!

                    Yes, you are the key to your success. It also helps to come to ADBB and read, read, read and post questions, messages, and get involved with your Atkins family. You may even want to join a challenge or two when you're ready. As you can see in my siggie I got the exercise bug! If you have some workout tapes and want to join our little group, please pop in and let us know by clicking on the link below the bug.

                    We also have a Woman's Only forum where you can find info on what other members do about PMS and a support forum for emotional eating. If you click on the "forums" button above in the blue tool bar, you'll find it all there.

                      Hi kkat and elizellen, THANKS for the great welcome. Congrats on both of your successes!

                      I have signed up for a couple challenges, i WANT to become an exercise nut lol. So that is something i am going to be concentrating on. I put in a request to be admitted into the woman's forum the other day am not sure if i have been allowed in yet. Will check it out because that is a huge time when the struggle to stay on plan and give up on the world is a fight that becomes a war lol and i usually lose. But not anymore.

                      I whole heartedly agree with your statment a year from now, i keep telling myself if i would have started in January i would have come so far by now.

                        If you don't hear something soon about getting into the Women's Forum, you may want to send a PM (personal message) to Bren or Richt for access. You also need to have "Female" or "F" in your siggie area so they know you're a woman.

                            I just started induction over yesterday (first time through I did not do a clean induction and I haven't been satisfied with my progress) and I wish you the best!

                            You will do a great job--and when stress or cravings hit, check out the BB and write it all down!

                              falls over laughing, i put the "i am woman hear me roar" quote in my signature for the purpose of identifying my femaleness lol. Maybe my roar needs some work? grins.
