TEAM 4 - the losers!

  • I'm still around. Weighed this morning and have gained 1 pound. It was my own fault (I drank 4 Tarantulas last night and ate chips and cookies for my meals yesterday). I let myself slip. I've been stressing out and everything is getting to me. Husband is still not working and hasn't had much luck finding a job...money is getting tight. My crappy job doesn't pay enough to pay all the bills and I just got my annual review...which sucked, so that means my raise is gonna suck too. People in my dept who do less than I do got better reviews...guess I'm not sucking enough.......hmmmmm.....guess I shouldn't go there!! or else I may get the boot out of the forum.

    I've also been feeling really depressed. I'm thinking about making an appt with my dr to see if I can get something to help me out. I'm tired of crying and feeling like sh*t. I haven't felt this bad in at least 5-6 years. Everything is getting to me. I'm just tired.

    Sorry if I'm bringing everyone down, I just had to vent.

    Maybe next week I'll have lost a pound or two. Fingers are crossed. I have been drinking much more water though.

      I have to agree with you; go and see your doctor. Maybe he can help you in one way or the other. It's always worth a try.

      I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed and that money are tight at your house. I hope that your husband will find the perfect job very soon....

      I'm glad to see you here, and thanks for sharing.....we are here for both the good and the bad news, so feel free to share your feeelings.
      And get back up on the wagon and start eating right. Bad foods won't make you feel bad, and neither will a weight gain!

      • Thanks Elmark. Tomorrow will be a better day. I plan on starting it off right and keeping it that way. I hate to start a new induction all over again but it looks as though I need to.

              Let me just warn you, that I may be gone for a few days. I'm getting a new computer friday and I probably won't finish installing everything this weekend. But I hope.....

              • Checking in for last Friday - still NO LOSS!!!! Three weeks with no loss at all! :sadblinky :sadblinky I'm not doing a lot for the team and I'm getting incredibly frustrated! I hope you guys are having better results. Even if I can manage to lose a pound by the end of the week, that would only be a 1 lb. loss in a whole month! I haven't had a month like that since I started Atkins.

                • No loss here either. I gained during the week, but lost it again, so I'm back to status quo......that my life in a nutshell these days!

                  Jumpingbean, we should start a "frustrated with no loss" club.....I think we would have lots of members....

                  • Sign me up for the "frustrated with no loss club!" Funny how the first 70 pounds just seemed to fall off.....and the last 50 are hanging on for dear life. I knew this was not gonna be easy.... but I don't guess I realized it was going to be this danged hard. And, though I am frustrated, I reamin undaunted in my quest to reach my goal. I know we can ....I know we can.....
                    Hang in there my fellow frustrated friends.

                    • I'm sure we are all hanging in there Snappy....but welcome to the frustrated..... club.....let's hope we can soon change our names back to the big losers.....

                      I may not be on for a few days. I just got a new computer, and I may lose some of the info when I toss the old one out.....

                      • No weight loss as of yet, :no but I did manage to make it to the gym yesterday and today. I'm starting out with just cardio this week and next week I plan to incorporate some weights. I love to lift weights...it's the cardio I can't stand. Got in my H2O yesterday all 3 liters of it and I'm working on #2 for today. Still trying to stay focused...hopefully the exercise will help combat this depression I have allowed myself to sink into. It's time for the pity party to be O-VER!!!

                        • I think we might be getting too hung up on weight loss. Yeah, dropping pounds is lots of fun, but there are other things to be really happy about.

                          Let's take a few minutes to review our successes so far. Do we feel better now than before we started? How is our general health? Are we sleeping better? Drinking more water? Exercisizing?

                          OK. . . maybe I'm not getting the water or exercize. ahem. my bad. But I'm sleeping like a baby! I have so much more energy (until it's actually time to exercize. ahem. my bad). And even if my weight loss has slowed down recently (which may be related to my relationship -- or lack there of -- to water and exercize. ahem. my bad), I've still already lost about 4 dress sizes.

                          So how 'bout it? Even if the scale hasn't moved recently (or is even creeping up a bit) what are some GOOD things that have come your way since starting this WOE???

                          • Finally finally finally I'm down a pound!! Down one lousy pound for an entire month's loss! I'm not doing much to help the team, but hallelujah I've lost a pound! It's probably been almost 5 years since I weighed less than 150. 149 today!!!

                            • Hi girls! Sorry that I've been AWOL - still here and chugging away!!

                              I am very proud to report that I am down 4 pounds from last week!! Woo-hoo!! I got serious about doing a clean induction, upped my water intake to at least 100oz a day, and was more rigorous about working out - and it's paid off!! YAY!!!
