Well, Having just gone to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and this past weekend Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure I can say that "at least I fit" on everything... just barely.

At Disney, all the "snug" rides were snug, but going through the turnstiles was the worst. I got stuck a few times. Then I finally realized I should go through the "handicap" door thingys.

At Universal, there weren't alot of attractions to squeeze into. I didn't go on the Mummy ride as my son was too short but they had seats out front of the ride to sit in to make sure you fit. Now... the seats looked big, but... since I don't think I really understand just how big I've gotten, I am glad I didn't have to sit in them. And how humiliating. I wish they would have had them over to the side somewhere. But everyone can see you try to sit in them. I'm glad it was a mute point.

At Islands of Adventure was the worst. I just barely squeezed into the rides. And I mean I squeezed. It was definitely not comfortable and I hope too many weren't looking. I definitely got a few scrapes and bruises trying to get in and out. What a reality check. If someone happened to be bigger than me, they definitely wouldn't be able to get on most of the rides. I find that sad.

So, I am even more revved up to lose weight. I don't want to miss out on anything just because I am too fat. This experience just reminded that I could.

I do see a glimmer of hope for getting on the airplane now. I have about a month and 1/2 to go. If I could fit on all of the rides at the theme parks, by then I should be able to at least squeeze into the airplane seat. At least I'm hoping.

So... I will have to pump up the exercises more. It's been extremely hot here and I haven't been able to walk like I'd planned. I am having to find other alternatives. So... that's it for now. I gotta go get some more water.

I just want to commend you and praise you and say "Keep it up!" You inspire me. I have a large round backside, and thighs that carry most all of my extra weight making me look like a pair. I can't fit in most rides, so going thru Disney or even local parks is a bit of strategic scanning training. I scan the seats, I scan the pull down bars "Can I do it, Can I not, then there is the Should I?"
Thanks! I forgot the thrill of a rollercoaster was still in my grasp. LOL.
O, on the airplane, you can ask for a seat belt extender, doubt you'd need it, and usually the window and the isle seats you can lean a bit, and the rests sometimes lift up.
    Good luck!

Aren't those moments just terrible? I've had them and it stinks. I'm currently in college and many of the desks used to cut my belly. Mind you, I didn't think I was that big, but apparently I am. I'm fitting better in them, and it makes me feel good. However, there are still days when the whole desk thing still destroys my confidence--for example, the other day I tried to sit side ways in my seat...so not happening yet.

But we have to keep strong, and believe in ourselves! We can do this and we're going to do it.

        Re: Theme Parks

It's funny that you posted this. I was just thinking about theme parks last night. That when I get to goal weight (about 100 pounds to go) I want to treat myself to a theme park experience. I don't have the energy or the physic to handle it right now.

Going to those theme parks must have been a good motivation. I have been there and done that, I could "squeeze" into stuff, kind of sliding into seats sideways to fit. I'm sure you'll be smaller before your big plane ride. Good luck!!!

                  Re: Theme Parks

Yeah, LOL, Space Mountain WAS the WORST. And you need to get through a turnstile once you reach the end of the line, right before you board. That should have been my first clue as I had to really really suck it in and squeeze through that. I believe that was the ride that I scraped up and bruised on.
