        Still no weightloss to report
I'm at a loss.....Im drinking 1 gallon of water everyday, my menu is ok, Im getting a bit of exercise (granted more is always better). I just dont get it, almost 2 months for a 9 pound loss. Im so frusterated and upset.

How about posting some of your menus Suga. Maybe you're not seeing something?
In lieu of that, how about trying a day or two of super high fat eating? (see book about those with high resistance to loss) Although i think it's a bit early to go to that extreme.

Chick I did post my menu about 2 weeks ago and except for adding a few more veggies and switching to heavy cream instead of half and half, I got all good reviews. I admittedly dont exercise enough and lately here the weather has too bad to go out and walk like I should. Im just starting to feel like if Im gonna be fat anyways then why not eat what I want?
No I'm not giving in yet............

I know I'm gonna get kicked in the butt by someone for this, but here goes.....I don't think the duration/lack thereof of your exercise is the problem. The first time I did Atkins (and I guess since exercise is non negotiable, I wasn't doing Atkins) I did no exercise. Even this time, I am so heavy that my exercise would make an old lady laugh....basically I walk and attempt(the key word) mat exercises that make me look like a whale out of water. Well, this makes me all think that exercise isn't there to help you lose weight, but to tone your heart and muscles. Exercise might work great as a weight loser for those who can actually do some rigorous stuff, but for what some of us can manage, I don't think that's what it's intended for. I've been wrong before, but, that's how I percieve it. If I were in your shoes, and I'm betting I'm due for a stall soon, I'd continue for a couple more weeks and if there were no results, go for a few days of the fat diet.

                  K. I'm done sticking my nose in. Good luck to ya Suga

                    exercise builds muscle...muscle burns fat.

it doesn't matter that you can't do alot...doing as much as you can will build up your muscle and increase metabolism.....

little by little you will be able to do more and more....

regular exercise also helps with depression....

                      also...

an extremely obese person burns more calories than a thin person performing the same activity...

so if all you can d is walk around the block...then do it...

soon it will be 2 blocks...then 3 and so on....

Well Suga, if it's any consolation to you, I've busted my butt doing 960 minutes of exercise in the past 13 days (Kick, Dance, Weight-lifting, and Ab Work) and the scale hasn't budged. *sigh* My first time on Atkins I lost 70 pounds with NO exercise...go figure. Why does losing weight have to be so complicated. Our bodies are such a mystery to me.

Whatever you do, just hang in there. Keep changing things up, tracking things in fitday, trying to figure out what's causing this stall. I know it's frustrating. I'm super frustrated right now. But going off Atkins is just going to bring on mounds of cravings and weight GAIN! We definitely don't want that. I'm rooting for us Suga. We CAN do this!

sometimes when you exercise alot the weight shows in inches lost rather than pounds...are you measuring?

                          maybe do induction?

don't give up...we will find the answer.....

I swam for 20 minutes...not much...but I have been short of time...I will be increasing my exercise and will reach my pledge of 4000 minutes.!!!

Hey Lori, I measured at Christmas but not since. However I haven't been able to tell any difference in my clothes so I don't think that's the case for me. I'm not giving up though. I'm going to keep on fighting this battle.

I love to swim. Do you have your own pool or do you go to a facility. I've taken the water aerobics classes several times at Gold's. It was fun.

I live in a condo building with a pool...I am famous here for my morning swim...regardless of the weather....

lately I have added an evening swim as well.

I enjoy water aerobics too...but there aren't any classes around here...

as far as the weight loss..I am a newbie so I am no Atkins expert, but in my experience it's always one or two things that set me off..

for example, I can never eat the protein bars...no matter how few carbs they have....I GAIN weight from those!

yeah, I've heard that. It doesn't explain why my first time around I lost 100 pounds with NO exercise, or why folks like Liz, who exercise almost daily(and she does some kick-butt exercises!!), aren't losing!!!!
