    Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the holiday and day off. (if you get it off!)

    It's just miserable here. (I'm in Los Angeles) It's been so cold and rainy for days!! I just want to curl up on the couch with a warm blanket, watch a movie and eat some soup!! Anyone have a good recipe for me???

      Our first months progress has been totaled up. Jan. 11th thru Feb. 11th

      One newbie didn't report in. Danny(Accept_Jesus) Where are you? We need your totals.

      As of today, the grand totals are:

      Total pounds lost for the first month of the challenge is -62


      Total Inches lost is -22.9 inches

      These totals are for 9 women!! Woo Hoo! ladies! We are making a big difference!

        WOW!! Thanks for the totals Becky Sue! We are doing awesome. We've lost the weight of three 20 pound bags of dog-food. WEIGH TO GO SEXY SIXERS!!!

        I've been under the weather the past week, but feeling fantastic again today. I had a sinus infection and could barely walk around my house - so did very little walking. But, I am back, I weighed this morning and I'm still at 185...so ready to get back in focus. I walked at the gym this morning and will go again after work today.

        I'm very sad. My exercise partner is moving on Friday. She is the one I met in November and we've faithfully met nearly every day and worked out at the gym. Now, once again, I will be a solo-exerciser. but that is okay. Its a habit now, so I do it no matter what. But, I will miss her dearly. She is moving to Las Vegas.

        Hope everyone has a wonderful ATKINS FRIENDLY day and stays motivated to get out and move!!

          Hey Team :wave I am still doing good no weigh change but i been drinking my water lately and working out on my treadmill sunday i will add some toning in my workout Have U ladies use the 8min buns,abs,arms,of still DVD or Tape.[/b]

            That's great progress, belivamorgan!!! Keep up the great effort and the weight will start to move again. Sometimes our bodies just have to catchup.
            Sometimes our exercise causes us to retain fluid, temporarily. Plus we build muscle and muscle helps to burn more fat. So we just have to keep doing what we are doing and it will all happen. We will shrink and we will become healthier.!!!!

            I have not tried the video/dvd's you mentioned.

              i havent lost any lbs since 2-7 .. i am hoverin around 252 hoping to break this stall soon. I think I am losing inches because my pants are fitting loooser..


              I found out I love swimming as an excercise..

                I attribute swimming to losing most of my inches and weight during last summer. I can't wait for our pool to open again this year so I can get back into the routine everyday. I love swimming. I bought a 'noodle' and I would ride it like a bike and work my legs, I would hold on to it and do kicks and I would do laps in the pool. I did this everyday for one hour all summer from May-Sept. Anyways, sorry, I get carried away when I am talking about swimming.

                It sounds like everyone is doing great this week. I have added exercise to my schedule and I am drinking more water (180+ ounces) a day. I hope to get the scale moving again in the next week. I found that when my routine becomes a comfortable habit, then I need to add more to it in order to make it a challenge. That usually works for me - and gives me more inner satisfaction.

                Here's to everyone!! We are doing great...we are going to make it. GO SEXY SIXERS!!!

                  Hi everyone. Sheesh, it's been a while since I made it to this forum! I tend to start up with the induction stuff to see if I can help up there, then life gets in my way before I make down here! I'm still around! Two pounds away from onederland! Boy, I wish my weight would catch up with the inches I'm losing. Sounds like we're doing really great with our goals on this team. I'm so proud of you all. You all inspire me a whole lot.

                    I am losing inches, but the pounds are hanging the same. I am trying to change a bit on my WOE and see if I can get some weight to slip away. I am giving it my all!

                            I finally dropped another pound. It takes me longer than it used to, but I am still moving in the right direction, so I won't get discouraged.

                            I've had a lot of committments this week with classes, meetings and workshops...but I've still managed to do at least 2 miles a day in walking and occassional weight training and using my big ball.

                            I remember last year if something came up, I'd skip my daily routine and say I'd walk or do more the next day. Now, when something comes up, I immediately start planning when I'll do my exercise before anything else. I guess that is a true sign of how far I've come mentally. lol

                            I'm going downtown today for a workshop and won't be back till later this evening -- but hope everyone has a wonderful Atkins Friendly Sunday!!

                              Weigh to go!! Dream!!! You are doing a fantastic job of making your dream a reality!!! I am so proud of you!!!

                              I know what you mean about working your exercise in first. I go to Guymon(20 miles from where I live) to check on my mom and I try to stop by a small lake that has a walking trail and get my walk in first, so I won't run out of time and not be able to do this for me! If we don't take care of ourselves, NO ONE will.

                              I think I will challenge everyone to take care of your self first. If we aren't healthy and strong we are of no use to our family. So take care of yourself!!!

                                Hello Sexy Sixers. Well, last week I semi-recruited a person to the ATKINS WOE. He needs to lose about 150 pounds and I told him my story and he's started reading the book. I thought he was going to start his WOE today, but he is still reading and said it might be another week. So, I hope he does cause he is having some very serious medical problems, high blood pressure, borderline diabetic, and he feels miserable. As the old saying goes...YOU Can lead the horse to water but you can't make him drink.

                                Anyways, I have had a good weekend, I went to the play, The Slipper and the Rose (Cinderella Story) - on Saturday. Then on Sunday, I went to a whole-day seminar for writers on marketing. I was exhausted today (Monday), but I couldn't ask for a better weekend.

                                Here is to a wonderful week for us, full of fun, laughs and WHOOSHIES!!
