    Good morning Suga-Hope everyone has a great day, off to the gym.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

        Good Morning CC'ers! I have today off. I plan on getting some cleaning done and cooking up some meals for the week. Headed to the gym this afternoon. Hope everyone has a productive Monday. It's a BRAND NEW week! Let's make it a good one!

            Okay, so somebody mentioned the other day about eating an avacado and it was really good...I'm pretty sure it was somebody in roll call. Anyway, I bought one yesterday! Now what do I do with it? lol

              Did you buy the nice small dark skinned ones? I usually cut them in half, take out the pit, and fill them with tuna salad. There's guacanole of course, but I'm buzzzeeeee enough!
              I've read somewhere (the mind is gone) that some folks treat them like the fruit they are and just sprinkle them with sweetener and eat. Haven't tried that tho.

                Good Morning CC'ers!

                Wishing all of you a wonderful day! Liz, the great thing about avacados is that they are a great "to go food". They come with their owm little bowl (skin). Just cut it in half leaving the pit in the one half so it doesn't turn dark on you and eat the other one right out of the skin with a spoon. They're great in salads , guacamole or just a snack on their own.

                  I agree with Sherri they are a great to go food. I make guacamole all the time, I just mix one avocado, with 2 tbsp. of sugar free salsa, 1 tbsp of sour cream and 1 oz of chopped jalapeno's. I can eat it alone or on just about anything. 15.5g of carbs but only 5g of Net carbs.

                        Here and 100% and ready to cave due to stress.

                        On my way to my chiropractor appt. I had to push my car 2 blocks by myself because the ignition coil got flood with oil thanks to the valve cover gasket busting. NOW i am WAY too much in the hole and don't know if ill be able to afford to stay on Atkins the next 2 weeks.

                          Evening everyone,
                          having trouble getting myself up off the couch to MOVE. I have moved the treadmill from the bedroom to the living room so I have to walk around it to get to my spot on the couch. Unfortunately, it's not working. ?? How do you guys get motivated to exercise.

                            I have a hard time with motivation too...

                            it happens that AFTER I exercise I feel really great, so I remind myself how good I will feel after...and I try to imagine the feeling.....thats how I do it...works most of the time....

                              Hey KyGurl, I know exactly where you're coming from. I used to hate to exercise and would find a million excuses not to. I actually really enjoy it now. I think the key is:

                              1) find something you enjoy doing. I hated walking on the treadmill or even around a track. It was so boring to me. Try out different things till you find your niche.

                              and

                              2) find an exercise partner that will hold you accountable. Ask a friend to exercise with you at a certain time everyday. Make a pact and keep it!

                              The more you do it, the more you will learn to love it. Lori's right, the feeling you get after a good workout is great!!
