    Good morning everyone. Hope all is well. Long week @ work, but happy that I was able to tighten up my WOE where it should be, so that was a positive.

    Hope everyone has a great weekend.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

    I found a pack of cigs under the coffee table. Not before I ate my way into putting on 4 pounds! That shouldn't have happened.



    My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

    1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
    2nd mini goal: 140!
    3rd mini goal:135!
    4th mini goal: 130!

    I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

      Morning all! Was weigh in day for me, and I got a little whooshie I think. On Wednesday I was 298, and this morning I was 296. Still not the 295 I touched last week, but I can live with that. Definitely getting back on track with exercising so hopefully I can break through this see-sawing weight loss I've had going on for the last few weeks.

      Sorry to hear about the 4 lbs Rita...any chance it is water weight you may be retaining...whether it is female things or maybe excess sodium in your diet? And stay away from the cigs!!!

        Good morning! Headed off to work and I actually got ready with enough time to spare to check in.

        Rita~ so sorry about the 4 lbs. I can see how it can be hard to quit and be on a low carb woe. When I quit I walked around all day with pretzel sticks but thats not going to be useful with low carb. Try keeping your hands busy...maybe some kind of craft or something?

          Hey Y'all ( as we Southern girls like to say!) !
          Today the sky is overcast and we will be traveling South for an over-night beach trip.
          Bluebelt, and Ryan, I am glad this has been a good week for you.
          Rita, the cigs will be gone soon and I think this was a goood practice run for you. You have a fresh look at the challenges you will face as you stop smoking for real very soon. I am proud of you for making this change as you have changed so much already through this WOE. <3

            Hey everyone! Have fun on your trip, 12Y. Hang in there, Rita - you know you can do this. Always good to see you check in, tutti! And great job, Ryan and Bluebelt.

            I just finished my 14-day Induction and I think I might see how another week or two does me before thinking about OWL. I lost 6.5 pounds so far! Everyone be super good and have a great weekend.

                  I plan on reading, a lot. Sleeping a lot. And generally trying not to eat the kids' fig bars. Cassy's glasses are lost again. They spent more time lost than found. I gave up on finding them this time. Gabby played with the case and Cassy isn't sure they were even in it. I found Zenni Optical, I can get Cassy glasses for $30 or less so I refuse to spazz. I have her a pair ordered.

                    oh man it was a HARD friday night

                    The family demanded ICE Cream .. and i craved it sooo bad

                    But .. I stayed On Plan !

                    Day 10 is under way

                    My weight loss has been minimal but I feel alot better, my blood pressure read lower today than I've seen in a LOOOONG time 124/70 usually its 140/80

                    Also i feel slimmer .. if that makes sense, less bloated and my pants are getting looser
