  • The Long Haul - Newcomer

    Hi all!

It's nice to find a space where people have amounts to lose that are somewhere close to mine... well, a bit closer anyway.

My highest weight in February of this year was 420. I went low-cal, low-fat and dropped (and regained, and dropped a bit more) about 35 pounds. Started Atkins on Monday at 385.

I have over 200 pounds to lose.

I'm here for the long haul and I'm sure I'll need support along the way. I hope to be able to give it too.

Just started Atkins on Monday and going strong. The only thing I messed up so far was eating too many green beans one day. Ha ha! I won't beat myself up too badly about that cheat.

Anyway... (babble babble) Just wanted to say, "Hi!" over here before I became a regular.
Coming back to claim my life.

Hey and Welcome! Those green beans do tend to sneak past ya, don't they? LOL

welcome - sorry I didn't see your intro before. Good luck to you. You will see many people say this is an easy plan to follow as long as you do it the right way - I agree with those people. Others do it "their way" -- and are successful but when they have problems are the first to say the plan doesn't work.

If you follow the plan the way the 2002 DANDR book states you will have success and will eat delicious meals for a lifetime. Good luck to you.

Hi and welcome! I joined not too long ago and I can tell you that it is just so nice having people here that can relate with you and they're all so supportive. It has made actually sticking to the diet so much easier when you have a group of people that offer you dailly support. Good luck with this, I know you'll be a success!

Atkins is a great way to learn to eat in a painless way with lots of encouragement from this bulletin board. And it works! Best wishes to you!

Hi, and welcome. I think there are a few members here who have lost 200+. I'm aiming for 150ish, about 1/2 my body weight. I doubt I'll ever be a skinny-minnie, but I would like to be a lot thinner Best Wishes,
