I was extremely close to my grandparents. When my grandfather was discovered to have Parkinsons and Alzheimers it was devastating. Watching him waste away for a year in a nursing home was terrible, and when he became very ill, I prayed for his death. I was so thankful that he died the next day. I knew he had been released from his pain and was truly happy.
Thank you all for your prayers and warm fuzzies. This morning at 8:01 AM Grandma Ms. Ruby Lary at the age of 90 took a stroll with God and has decided to stay. I will miss her after all she always said I was soo pretty, poor womans eyes gave away along time ago. She went in peace as she slept and my two sisters were at each side as she took the one giant step. I have already made the plans to have her buried at Brookside. The funny thing is one day before a lady from my church stepped over too and now my Pastor is going to be doing not one but two in a week. They will both be at Brookside. Mrs. Edith Hardage Friday at 3:00 and Grandma Saturday at 2:00. I wonder did they discuss this when I took Grandma to visit my church? Did Mrs. Edith say "hey come on in the weather is perfect?" I know that one day I will see them both on the other side.
