Oh Lisa :hug :hug I know you are on an emotional rollercoaster right now and food looks like your bestest friend and comforter but you have to think about your own surgery date in June. Prayers going up for you and your family.

Lisa had just posted in the not so fatso team 3 topic about her dad and his medical problems which were very extensive if anybody needs to know. this was not a sudden illness

Just talked to Lisa briefly tonight. It was great to hear your voice Lisa!

Her dad had been dealing with multiple issues on the health front (heart and cancer) and had been beating them back when he took a turn for the worse. They think he caught an infection while in the hospital and that was the final straw (so to speak).

She's hanging in there. Working today.

I suggested that she could A) plant a perennial or a tree in her dad's honor and/or B) release some balloons with thoughts tied to them for him as some sort of memorial to him, something to do with her kids.

Anyone have other suggestions on great ways to release your grief and celebrate someone's life?

I'm sure Lisa will be reading here later and might tuck some ideas away for later when she's ready to deal with things like that.

                  Kathy
