    Re: Anyone from Denmark?

    Hi There

New Dane, good to be able to talk to others - we have to be very creative to find some new recipes so good that we can share.

    How are you all doing?

I've been on induction for 16 days and have lost 7,2kg og 34,5 cm, it seems very overwhelming, a little like magic.

Would love to hear from you soon

    Eena

      Hi Eena

I am here too, Denmark, Odense, originally from Copenhagen. I am not posting, but I do keep up with whats going on at the forum

Tons of questions answered for me here..the danish translation of the book is sort of annoying once in a while..I got the english version at the library to compare, not a bad idea if your library carries it

        Re: Anyone from Denmark?

I buy Atkins and low carb products online from Low Carb Megastore in the UK. It costs a bomb by the time they get couriered out to Italy so I usually have a bumper pack made up, which is a bit cheaper (as the shipping is the same regardless of weight - up to a point).

            Re: Anyone from Denmark?

well i am still around once in a while. Lost some 25 kg last time i was on the diet and now I am working hard to lose the rest. This round of dieting I started at jan 1 (I know lousy day to start) and i just passed the 15 kg mark, and have no problems with keeping it up.
Next week I am starting to use bicyckle to work (some 24 km back and forth) and that should spped things up a bit i hope.

            otherwise pm me.

Congratulations on that 15 kilos lost and on starting to bike to work and back too! Well done!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

                Re: Anyone from Denmark?

Helloo! Great to hear from fellow danes! I have been trying to inspire friends and family to join this WOL but without luck. It seems danes are too afraid of fat. And cant addapt to the idear of low carb living. Why not get rid of the cravings???

Pls post some food tips!!!! Many of the ingredients postet in this forum is not avalible in DK. - Like sugar free sirup a.s.o.

I have Maxim protein shake with flax seed in the morning.
Eggs, greens, K salater, homemade meatballs without flour (frikadeller), sauseges during the day.
If I have any bread its Wasa Sport + almost pure fiber!!!

Is there any forums in DK regarding atkins???

Anyway hope to hear from you and other Danes again. Happy loosing

                  Re: Anyone from Denmark?

                  Hi there

My frikadeller are with soya protein instead of the flour - eggs and cream no milk - they are really good.
I buy some crackers from diallife.dk crisp o bran , they are expensive but good. I drink drinke cultura light for breakfast - I've been on atkins for a few years now so I can afford the 20 carbs in the morning from the drink. Besides I eat a lot of salads made with real mayo - more expensive than ksalater but good.
I eat lots of røde pølser as snack - most are 2-3 carbs pr sausage - works well for me.

Hope it helps - and maybe together we can get more to adopt the low carb life -

                  Sheena
