Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

Based on the positive response to the Second Time Around thread we've decided to open up a new forum for our members starting over on their Atkins journey.

    Enjoy!

This is the place for me!

              And my first post!

I am back after losing 150 lbs. to th epoint where i had to have a panniculectomy and then blowing it (about 100 lbs of it) over depression when I was told I have to have my knees replaced.

But I am on day 11 of induction and I feel great again, drinking water and kicking the caffeine/diet pop routine.'

              YAY

              Party party!

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

So I see I am not the only one who has tried and quit atkins lol. Well after trying diet after diet and no luck again I have to at least give atkins one more try. My first try at atkins I lost 10lbs in first two weeks of induction and that was that..no more.....and of course when I stopped it came piling back on. Tried other diets and minimal results. So here I am 50 yrs old and 5ft tall at 134 lbs. It may not seem much to some but being so short it might as well be a lot more. It is independence day so I may as well become independent lol. This time around however I am going to count total calorie intake as well, just seems that I need to do something different this time......Wish me luck and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

                        Hi!

I'm restarting tomorrow since I've not been OP the past week due to this heat... but instead I am buckling down and WILL stick to induction as of tomorrow. Too bad they don't sell sugar free ice cream here in Sweden. I guess on Monday I'll get an ice cream maker and do a recipe by Dana Carpenter's 500 LC recipe book... or else I'll get tempted again!! I can't stand not having something like that during a sweltering summer.

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I am READY as I don't like what I am looking at in the mirror. Here is a current picture of myself with my son, taken today.

Welcome to the STAC room Heather!

Its nice to add another person to the fun and support here!

(And remember a clean induction does not allow for ice cream.)

I meant to get the ice cream maker for later use Induction is only 2 weeks long, altho I usually do it longer...but modify it slightly.
