For me, the hardest part is actually starting. Like taking that first step of walking, doing that first pushup, or Running that first lap. Its a mental problem more than a physical335/265/230

I agree with FightingTheFight. Theres times I feel like it takes all I have in me to get out the door for a walk, I have learned since to sike myself up for the walk, put the imagine of a smaller, healter me in my mind, and then it's easy for me to get up and excerise.

Well, my issue with the exercise is accountability. What has helped me is finding a friend in my neighborhood and setting up a time to meet each other every night for a walk. Cannot back out, as someone else is already on their way to your house. This has worked so far. :yes

It would be my first challenge too. When I was in WW (years ago) we "walked to Disneyworld". As a group, we kept totals on our exercise mileage, and we had made a goal as a group to walk 1100 miles which was the approximate distance from our meeting, to Disneyworld. Something like that might be difficult with everyone living in different places though. I can't think of anything else. :confused

Maybe we should start with having everyone commit to walking a certain amount of days this week? Like at least four days we go out and walk (or some other form of exercise). Then after we all accomplish that go on to moving up time, 30 mins, 45 mins, etc. :confused

Yes, it is hard to start when you have quit for awhile. My motivation was the fact that when I was exercising before, the inches were falling off. I didn't lose a lot of scale weight, but I looked and felt better and people noticed.
A challenge is a good thing. I love 'em! However, until my hip settles down, I can't do much. I might check some more web sites and see if I can find suggestions on exercise so my progress doesn't stop.
I have done a clean induction since Monday :icondance Monday I weighed 149 and today I'm at 142.5! I know it's only water but it's nice to see it go! :guns
Whatever challenge you come up with, I'll try my best to participate :nod

I'm up for whatever challenge you guys can come up with! I've never done one before but I know it would help me take this seriously.
It's a big ordeal for me to get out and walk because of my little boys so i went and bought a wieghted jump rope and a pilates ball. I'm going to start working out in the morning while we're watching Bear in the Big Blue House. :icondance <---me jumping rope If we can set up a challenge I can use that as my exercise.Erica
