    I thought that I would bump this thread up. I really like the idea of evaluating the mistakes I made during my first attempt. I think most of us are here because we are not willing to give up the fight. I know I sure don’t want to go back to my old way of living. I am tired of being a slave to my food desires. I am tired of suffering the consequences of my binge eating. So.. What am I willing to do different.

    I will drink all of my water

    I will do a clean induction.

    I will not eat more that four oz of cheese.

    I will not eat low carb bread

    I will go to the gym and do my best

    I will reach out to members of the second time around club. I will be open to the support I find and will give back when I can.

    I will stay positive

    I will remain teachable

    I will not be afraid of my new body

    I will stand on my head for five hours a day (just checking to see if you are reading this)

    I am scared to let go of the coffee. I have three kids under three...


    So.. Let the games begin

      I think you should either give up the coffee, or stand on your head for 5 hours a day. You cannot do both.

        Hopefully sticking with it!!! I am drinking lots & lots of water & I am determined that I am going to get T H I N (well maybe thinner than I am now). I am not able to walk far as I have a crook hip which give way on me so I limit my exercise to what I can do around the house. I do have an electronic walker though it could be just laziness that keeps me off it!! Maybe when I start to lose I will have more energy & feel like doing some.

          Measuring my foods

          measuring inches

          Giving my body time and not stopping when hitting a stall

          Stopped taking coffee

          Stopped taking excess sweetener(im not taking any now but will reintroduce sweeteners later)

          Learning new recipes

          Trying new foods

            After 2 weeks induction:

            I am exercising more (goal to ramp that up)

            drinking 66 oz water (increasing to 100 oz)

            kept coffee.............. after having some sweet cravings this past several days I am giving that up. This will help water consumption)

            Splenda in my coffee............... gone until a later date

            Supplements .................. check

            Not weighing until I am back in my jeans instead measuring inches

            But mostly............. relaxing because I know this woe works

            Not yet ready to stand on my head though

            Keep in touch on daily

              Portion control this time. I'm not eating "unlimited" meats etc... Also less exercise because that's what my body demands right now. Overall I'm having similar results to two years ago and similar results to twelve years ago .

                Bill - sounds like what you are doing is actually paying attention to your body right now....eating only what satisfies you, not what your brain tells you you can eat, and working out as much as your body needs, rather than overdoing.

                What kind of exercise are you doing, btw? And do you wear that tutu we went you? Did you like the monogram?

                  Finelly, I'm just doing light stretching and light walking. That's all I can physically handle right now. In another month or two I would like to add a few push ups and sit ups.

                  You're exactly right about listening to my body. I'm not a young kid anymore and since the exercise can't be what it used to be portion control has to be on the menu for me.

                  The tutu is in the furnace for winter use!

                    Do you have a spare pillow, because I would definetely have to become acrobatic with three kids and no coffee!!! Heck, I have 1 husband alone that warrants the coffee!!!!!!

                    I am attempting to drink water.

                    I am trying to take supplements. Chromium pills gag me because of the small round flat shape.

                    I am trying to cook more than chicken and green beans this time. We are trying new things. We ate portebello mushrooms the other night. I have bought George Stella's cookbook and ordered Dana Carpendar's. I also have visited Linda's site quite alot.

                    I am not announcing to the world that I am low carbing. It's funny, you can be obese-obese, and eat fast food, and no one ever says, you don't need to eat that, it is not good for you. BUT, let someone know that you are doing Atkins-low carb, and they say, You don't need to do that diet, it is not good for you. OH, and all of this fat around my middle is???????

                    I am also trying to keep a sense of humor.

                    My goal for this week is to add in exercise at least every other day.

                    I can and will do this this time!!!!! My husband is my partner.

                      Yep, yep....

                      Atkins is bad for you. It is a crash diet. It is a fad diet. You will not lose weight. You will feel like crap because you NEEEEEED carbs for energy. Eating fat makes you tired and depressed. You won't meet the basic nutrition requirements on this woe.

                        Don't forget that Atkins will raise your cholesterol too because you'll be sitting around all day eating bacon and buckets of lard!
