  • Hello

    :wave

I havent as much as even lurked her for a very long time. I did find this board very helpful 2 years ago when I first began low carbing thru Atkins. This forum would be the one for me.

So let me introduce myself to you. I am 43 years old, Mom of 2 children DD/17 and DS/18. I began Atkins June 03 and by June 04 had lost 65#. This past year I guess you could say at best I dabbled in low carb, falling off the wagon full time this past January. Tried to re-induct several times but failed each time.

I no longer feel as good as I did when on plan. My jeans no longer fit. My summer shorts are still in storage because I dont even want to face them at this point. I had gotten rid of all my larger clothes and luckily found a few summer items to get me by. I WILL NOT buy anymore clothes until they are of the smaller size.

So, I am back. This is Day 6 of a strict induction for me and I already feel so much better. Exercise is small.... walking..... so far but I will be back up to my 2 miles in 30 minutes of walking soon enough. Im also getting back to Curves. (Had stopped going because I pulled out my shoulder.) I now remember just how much I LOVE ketosis.

Anyway... if you have read this far. Thanks! I hope I can give as much support as Im sure Ill get.

Hey! Welcome back! My Atkins story is similar to yours, and by golly, I'm not getting out my shorts and stuff, either (I have one old pair of paint-spattered denims that I wear, but I refuse to get the good stuff out, because it simply won't fit....)

This is day six for me, too! Glad you're doing well! Isn't ketosis wonderful???????? lol. I'm so happy all of a sudden.....

          Hello

Day 7 and I am spending the day (well not obviously at this very moment!) doing some major weeding and planting before throwing down a bunch of mulch over everything. I really need to concentrate on getting my water in today. I am not getting enough and leg cramps are beginning to set in.

On my way for quart #1 and back outside.......

Welcome Terry! Glad to meet you! I just found the board again also. Such a great place for support!
I have one pair of shorts that fit, after i do those deep knee bends to stretch them out enough and i don't button them, and i only zip 1/2 way up! LOL, not the most comfortable things to wear!

This is day 7 for me, and feeling better every day! I was on this 2 years ago, and I KNOW it works!
            happy losing to us all!!
