  • DAY 9, not hungry

    Ok, today is day 9 of low carb, not strictly Atkins, but carbs below 20. I at lunch, no breakfast, not by choice, it just happened that way. Tonight I fixed Low carb stroganoff from Linda's site with Faux rice. I am not wanting to eat. I also fried some frying cheese, ate about 3 pieces. I am only up to 750 calories, my Basal level is 1620. I have had 6 net carbs. (55% fat, 3% carb, 41% protein)

    What do you do when you do not want to eat?????? I know from past experience that when I don't consume enough calories I will not lose weight.

    When I go through that phase (which happens every few weeks for me on Atkins) I make some high-density foods to eat so that I can get as many calories in as possible each time I eat.

    One thing I make is this sour cream thing. 1 enormous container of sour cream, 10 eggs, splenda to taste, 1 tbspn vanilla. Mix it all up, bake in a 9x11 pan at 385 degrees until firm and golden brown on top. It contains about 450 calories per serving (8 per pan) and 41 grams of fat, 4 carbs, and 48 protein. I eat it cold for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    I know it's hard, but try to eat maybe 5-6 times per day. That way, even if you don't down a big meal, you're going to get enough calories in.

        I like to put myself on a schedule, eating at the same times of day every day.
