    Hi everyone! As Finelly asked, here is my menu! I started induction on Tuesday and this what I have had so far:


    Tuesday
    Breakfast - skipped it
    Lunch - 1 1/2 cups of romaine, 6 slices of cucumber, 2 TBSP of caesar. Atkins shake because I was starving!
    Dinner - 2 burgers with a slice of cheese on each topped with 1/4 cup of fried onions and 1/4 cup of sauteed mushrooms - all cooked in 2 TBSP of butter. 1 cup of green beans cooked in 1 TBSP of butter topped with 3 clices of bacon and 1 inch of feta cheese

    Breakfast - 4 slices of bacon
    Lunch - 2 cups of romaine with 10 large shrimp, 2 TBSP of caesar dressing
    Dinner - 5 oz. of grilled chicken breast with 1/4 cup of onions and 1/4 of peppers, topped with 3 oz of shredded cheedar and 2 TBSP of sour cream.


    Thurs
    Breakfast - 4 slices of bacon
    Lunch - 2 cups of romaine with 3 oz. of cucumbers, 2 TBSP caesar dressing and 1 oz of parm cheese. I added some salad seasonings too.
    Dinner - I plan to have 5 oz. of steak with 1 cup of green beans, bacon, feta.

      Hello kathi! Im not an expert but this is what I see:

      1. First you should never skip a meal and do not go more than 6 waking hours without eating. Eating breakfast is important to get your metabolism going first thing in the morning and eating frequently enough will keep your blood sugars on a even keel. Wed and Thurs you ate breakfast... good!
      2. Strict iduction does not allow for shakes. Some people manage do OK with them, later on but the shakes (like snack bars and what not) stall many and are not on the list of induction foods. Only eat from the list of induction foods.
      3. Its good to have protein with each meal.
      4. Are the 4 slices of bacon enough to fill you up and start your day?
      5. Are you drinking your water?

      You are on a good start with a little tweaking! How are you doing? Any inductin flu symptoms? Taking a vitamin every day?

      Reading this makes me hungry for lunch!

        What Terry said, except I will be shaking my finger in your face as I say this:

        1. Eat breakfast. Do not ever, ever skip it.

        2. Eat fat and protein at every meal. Eggs with that bacon, girl, or cheesecake, or the sour cream thingy, or something like that.

        3. Salad alone for lunch is WRONG. Eat meat with it. Meat with skin on it.

        4. No shakes, no bars.

        5. What, NO SNACKS? What's the MATTER with you? lol. Eat something, albeit small if you must, between breakfast and lunch, and lunch and dinner, and/or after dinner.

        Now go fix your menu!

          Hi, Terry! To answer your questions

          1. I know!!! Shame on me! I woke up late for work and wasn't hungry at all, so I didn't bother.
          2. A double I know! LOL I was so hungry that I felt sick, and it was in my fridge at work from when I was on OWL months ago. It took my nausea away though. It won't happen again, I am more prepared now.

            LOL I am listening!!! I promise tomorrow will be a much better menu for me. I haven't seen induction for over a year and need to re-read and re-twink!


            Tomorrow I will have eegs with my bacon or pork roll, a salad and chicken for lunch, and something meaty for dinner. In bewteen I will have some deviled eggs. I will hit the gorcery store on Saturday and spend Sunday cooking to prepare for the week!

              You have officially gotten the lecture!!

              Meat (protein) is your friend.

              It is kind of hard to get used to saying that its OK to eat more isnt it!!??

              So go forth and EAT!!! (By the book!)

                        Just one more way to keep my mind where it needs to be. Also gives me ammunition when the little people sitting on each of my shoulders begin to argue over what I should/want to be eating. I can shut em down quicker with a quick Dr A fact!
