  • It's Wednesday!

    Hi all -

    Wow, I woke up this morning, checked the board, and LOTS of people have been posting! It's so fun to sit here with my coffee and read....almost like sitting down at Starbucks with a bunch of friends and catching up!

    I was feeling up and down yesterday, but I think I have a hold of it now. For some reason, i've been feeling really annoyed that the loss I am feeling is not showing as much as I want it to. Which is unrealistic given that I'm only on my fourth week, and last time it wasn't really dramatic until a couple of months in to the woe.

    I've decided to keep focussing on how I FEEL, which is leaner, stronger, more energetic, and happier. I know this woe works, and that the inches are coming off. Even if they weren't, I'd stick with this, because it feels good and I know that eventually, the fat melts off. All in its own time.

    So I've already starte on my water for the day (ya hoo!) and I have good plans. Besides working out, my husband and I are going to lunch at a french bakery downtown. Yes, I know that sounds waaay, waaay too tempting, but I already know what I'm getting. They make the best egg salad, with horseradish. I'm ordering it without bread. The thought of the pastries there doesn't tempt me a bit. And we can sit outside and be in the fresh air, and then go to an art gallery across the way.

    We may go to the beach later, in which case I'll get an extra walk in.

    How's everyone else doing today?

        Hi Finelly

        Glad you are feeling better today. We all have those days and it is so much better to come out the other side without losing isnt it?

        It is nice to sit with a cup of coffee or a gallon of water and sift thru the posts and see how everyone is doing. Its always quiet when I come on first thing in the morning because Im on the east coast but that is when I catch up on what you all posted the night before.

        I know when school begins and I head back to work these little morning sessions wont be the same but have been pretty darned helpful this summer. Im dreading THAT withdrawal! LOL

        I was a little under on my water yesterday so I have begun drinking it and as soon as I get another glass down I will have my cup of coffee. I really have to work at it.

          So here it is Wednesday, finally feeling a little better. I'm feeling strong with this woe. Definitely trying to build myself up for vacation (its going to be tough). But, I know I can do this.

          I had deviled eggs for breakfast; planning on 2 bunless cheeseburgers and a side salad for lunch; chicken for dinner.

          For exercise, I will do a 30 minute walk outside, or I will do my 2 Mile WATP video.

          Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! Man, I'm going to miss you guys next week!!!

            Good Afternoon, Haven't been around much this week, been so busy, but all is going well!! I'm down a couple of lbs and that makes me happy. My pants, 2nd wave of pants in my closet, are fitting better! Yesterday was an awful day for me. I was weak and blah and needed an attitude ajustment! Today, woke up with some energy and life as usual. I don't know what happened yesterday except i was short on my water intake on Monday. So i drank about 130 ozs. of water yesterday hoping for a miracle in the "mood" dept today! Besides having the whoosh fairy visit me during the night. I am one of them that is "scale dependent" and i was up a couple of lbs yesterday but back down today. So the scale is on my neighbors porch again! I saw her outside this morning and asked her if she would put it on her porch, she said sure, you on a diet again?!!
            Glad to hear everyone is doing good and hope you all have a great week.

            Oh, one more question.... when can you eat red grapes? i've been reading in DANDR and can't find anything about grapes. Not that i can't stay away from them, but i have a reciepe for a salad/desert i want to make and everything is Atkins friendly cept the grapes. I can use splenda and calls for cream cheese. and walnuts on top. Its my "family reunion" pass around dish for Sunday.

              Today is truky hump day for me LOL I can't get over my water hump today. I have only had 56 ounces in 6 hours. I am usually at 96 by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will get all my 96 in though, I still have all afternoon and night!

                    Im getting my water in! And PLENTY of exercise running down the hall for the library, which by the way now has a small selection of magazines since I am there so much!

                          I'm doing okay, hanging in there...>i finally went back to work today.....
                          my face is still infected...people stare at me now , I hope it gets back to normal soon....not used to being this ugly duckling...

                            Just got back home. Had a wonderful lunch with my husband. Huge green salad (all kinds of lettuce) and egg salad on lettuce. I enjoyed looking at the pastries but had no desire to eat one....

                            Then got a pedicure (one nice thing for myself htis week!) and my daughter and I went to Barnes and Noble (2 nice things for me this week!) and I had an iced coffee, which was good becaues it is so hot here and frankly, I needed a break from the water bottle!

                            It is so hot today that I am skipping my regular workout and will go to the aqua aerobics class at 6 p.m. Should be refreshing!
