    Re: OH no not again!

Definately drop the bars. Add spinach instead of lettuce, as it has more nutritional value. Those bars had 13 grams of net carbs? So my god, you couldn't eat much else with carbs, that's the problem.

Last time I did this, I had about a week of feeling exhausted right around the third or fourth week. It went away.

It's just going to be slow. Are you measuring, because that's where this woe really shows this time around. I've lost 11.5 lbs in 5 weeks, but 23.5 inches.

The key is to keep going. Do not stop. Progress to OWL if you like, as this is often what helps people get over that rut. But as you saw on fitday with the calories, we cannot do this and not lose weight!

Thanks Finelly, yep those bars are high in carb but dang there so good especially the chocolate lol. Ok bars are gone for now. Today, 1 egg, 2cups of zuchinni, 2 broiled hambugers, and I am off to class with my usual 48oz of water, 1oz of peanuts, and 1oz of cheddar....Cracker Barrel is now packaging little individual oz packs for us Atkins people on the go. And still staying under 20 carbs.

Leah, if you're already 130 pounds, you probably can't expect to lose weight super fast either way. I'm not sure what your goal is, but it's not as easy to lose ten pounds when that's all you have to lose. It takes time. I think you're doing fine, just have patience!

Also: peanuts aren't technically on induction either. I'm sure you love hearing that. It might not matter much if peanuts don't stall you but they can stall some people.

Another thing: it looks like you're drinking most of your water at night, which might mean you weigh more in the morning. Try drinking the bulk of your water in the morning/afternoon.

          Re: OH no not again!

Well done for dropping the bars for the moment, Leah.
I just thought I should mention that zucchini (summer squash) is on the one-cup list so unless you have moved on to OWL you ought to only have one cup per day.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Re: OH no not again!

LizEllen: Thanks for the encouragement, yes I have moved on to OWL after being so good on a clean induction and only losing 4lbs I figured I would try just moving on. Some people have said that if they move on they tend to lose weight, especially if it is their second attempt at atkins. My son does not like zuchinni so I figured might as well eat what I cooked lol. I did however break it down into 1 serving twice a day. I didnt just pig out and eat the whole thing lol. Finelly, yes I bought some spinach so plan to have spinach salad today for dinner. KnickKnack, I decided to move on to Owl and 1oz of peanuts was more for the calorie content than anything. My older son also told me to stagger my calorie consumption to prevent my body from going into starvation mode. I really can't believe how I don't feel hungry and its hard to eat more than 1000 calories most days. So what is high calories low carb? Meat! yeckkkk, ok so I will eat one meat a day if I have to to bring the calories up. As far as my water consumption at night KnickKnack, 48oz is just my nighttime supply, I drink at least that during the day not to mention herbal tea and of course the coffee I refuse to give up, I don't do mornings without my coffee .

Yes, that was the right thing to do with the zucchini
It sounds like you are getting the hang of this OWL thing

                Re: OH no not again!

I am SOOOOOOO excited, today I was 129.8 on the scale, yes I know it is not much but it proves to me that there really isn't a gremlin inside my scale with its finger stuck in the 130 slot lol. This is the first time since trying atkins that I have broke the 130 mark. This just gives me incentive to keep going now. Last time I tried atkins I stuck on 130 for over two months before giving up in disgust. Woohoo.........I am happy.
