Well, you could just have a little fun with him and then send him on his way That's what I would do. LOL

I was going through the same thing- except, the sugar monster was focused on one thing. My grandparents buy these amazing devil's food chocolate donuts and for three days I couldn't stop thinking about them. Instead of trying to resist sweets completely, I had the chocolate mousse but it didn't really satisfy me on the third day. So, I ate one donut. But only one and the sugar monster in me wanted more but I controlled it. And now I'm not even thinking about the donut! This might not be the best way to go but, for me controlling it and not letting it go into a binge was HUGE!

Kudos Kerry for controlling the sugar demon!!!! Whatever works! This is a way of life now, so in my humble opinion if eating one small donut and moving on helps you get past it, then do it. (So long as you are not in your 14-day induction, of course).

the training is what that concept of exercising your will power makes it stronger is all about. As you ignore the Braion Rx for those old higher carb comfy foods the strength of the pathways to them get weaker and weaker and yiour brain will be making the new methods stronger and stronger so you can't just ignore the old as the cure all. you have to figure out what your new response will be cause those nasty stress hormones are still running a muck in your bloodstream and need to be fixed which is why they recommend exercise even something like a brisk walk to use them up. otherwise all you have done was leave the fuses burning while you were distracted momentarily and they are still working on you getting closer to the exploding point.

AKKKK.. I need to find something else for my hormones to focus on...

OH man.. here comes the Brad Pitt thing again. HEY! Maybe HE makes a rare steak!

So maybe, every time I am stressed or upset, I should eat a chicken breast? Will that retrain my brain into craving chicken? Or would it be better to read, or do something. I am confused between training the brain from sweet food to acceptable ones, and the hormone connection.. are they the same?
