    Happy Friday!

Anyone have special weekend plans? Finelly..... are you making any quick get away plans for say a nice long drive up the coast or for a romantic night out at a nice bed & breakfast to keep you busy and out of the line of fire while d ex takes the reigns for a bit?

Lots of new faces this week...... any plans that you need help to prepare for to get you thru the weekend cheat free and faithful to your Atkins?

For those of us who have been back for awhile.... are there any things that are getting harder for you? Triggers that you are having a hard time dealing with? The newness has worn off and is your resolve still as strong? How can we help?

I know for myself that having begun to pick a bite here and there I am having to really struggle to reign myself back in. Im still working my Atkins but it is not the easy breezy Atkins haze I was in just a few weeks ago. I am determined.

I am working today.... a bit of time to add to that first paycheck when I head back full time. Slowly getting back into my school year routine. Its time. Im ready.

Hi Terry. I'm giving one of my rare check-ins today

I tend to splurge with carbs on the weekend (nothing wild), and I'm going to give a concerted effort not to this time. It has been hurting my weight loss, and I'm getting annoyed with myself. Fridays and Saturdays are so hard for me.

Ok, I'm finally going to come right out and ask.

Can anyone participate in your STAC threads or is it just for STAC members?

I find that you guys have a lot of VERY good discussions.

        Re: TGIF Check In

I'm going to have to crack down on myself hard this weekend. Ever since I splurged on chocolates, my weight loss has stopped. I'm going to cut out Diet Coke and cut back on Splenda.

Also, we might see a movie this weekend. I'm going to need a lot of help to resist my usual popcorn with extra butter and large soda. Going to try to pack some pork rinds in my purse, but it'll be tough...

I am working all weekend, I don't have a very hard time on the weekends, I am with you Kittie, I have a hard time resisting movie theater popcorn, it is so greasy and ... well probably gross but I like it! I have a harder time not drinking lc beer on the weekends, and getting all of my water in. I will make an extra effort this time!

            Re: TGIF Check In

            Good morning!

Hum...our weekend plans (so far) consist of driving to a small city and looking at a grocery/deli that is for sale. The owner's dad had it for about 50 years and she has had it for eight. My husband and I always dream of owning our own business so we are going to look at it for fun. It is fun to dream and when the time is right I know the door will open. If not, something else will come along. Anyway, we are going to go check it out and see what we think about it. The closest Wal-Mart is 15 miles away...so I thought with gas prices most local people might want to shop there rather than drive all the way to Wal-Mart...? Then it is halfway inbetween two larger cities so people driving from one to the other may stop there for snacks or drinks on the way. So, it could possibly be a good thing. I thought I'd have an accountant look at the books if we liked it to check the profitability of the place.

My other plan for the weekend is maybe seeing "Must Love Dogs" or "The Skeleton Key". They both sound good and I can't decide.

My DH and I have been doing this for almost four weeks now. Today he was saying that he didn't have anything good to eat for lunch. He was out of pork rinds (for a snack) and took a block of cheese with him. He has his canned meat and also takes a low-carb shake (he is doing the low-carb to help me, not to lose weight himself so I get these shakes for him as a treat). He won't take a personal cooler so he can put leftovers in it...so anyway that is what bugs me the most...because I don't want him to feel deprived.

Kittie, another good thing to take to the movies (if you like Cheese Nips) is cheese chips. I take American Cheese (the real stuff - deluxe) and fold them into 16 pieces and then put them about 1/2 inch apart on the outer edge of parchment paper (that has been made to fit my microwave tray). Microwave for about 65 seconds and then peel them off the paper. Viola! Cheese Nips/Chips. They are great! You just have to make sure you don't go over your four ounces of cheese per day.

Well, I hope everyone has a GREAT low-carb weekend!

            Happy Friday!!!

              Hey everyone,
Friday checkin, and I've got plans with the girls tonight. We're getting together for some good girl chat, and the biggest challenge for me will be to resist the inevitable bottle(s) of wine that will be flowing. The hostess also does low-carb, (south beach) and I know she'll have veggies and some legal dip. I'll try to eat some wings or something before I go.
The weekends are always hardest for me — just me and that big ole refrigerator full of no-no's.
Hubby has left town for the weekend, so that brings my stress level way down, and I should do fine. Just me and the kiddos having some girl time.

Plans for the weekend are camping out with the husband and five dogs, Shelties. We are going to a custom motorcycle show that my husband wants to see and will be camping with our friends who also have a motorhome. Yep, you need a big motorhome with this many dogs. They love camping too. I have the frig stocked with legal foods and lots of bottled water. I am also in for the no cheat weekend thread.

Wannabethintoo, everyone is welcome! Join us!

I have no major plans for the weekend. They are usually my downfall as well, so I have joined the cheatfree weekend challenge. I think we may take DS to a petting zoo on Sunday if the weather holds up.

So, I made the breakfast muffins last night to help me out in the mornings. I'm not a huge fan of egg type casseroles, etc., so pleased to say they were Great!!! For lunch I'm having stuffed peppers as posted in our recipe thread (love these). I'm proud of myself - I have pre-planned!

Exercise has been slow this week since DS has been sick. But I have started an exercise challenge with my email buddy to start Monday. This should help get me back on track.

                      Good morning, everyone

I JUST walked in the door from work (it's 11am) - and ugh - it was a lonnnng night.

Not sure if it's TOM or the increased exercise or a combination of both that has me H.U.N.G.R.Y. - but I am! LOL

I'm gonna head for bed in short order - work out when I get up, make dinner for the family and then head to work again.

I always go out dancing Saturday nights, but this Saturday I think we're just going to go have dinner and we're going to go see a movie. The girls are excited! I don't have trouble with the popcorn/candy thing. I'll grab myself a big ole diet coke and a bottle of water and enjoy the show!

Terry- good for you for recognizing where you're slipping at and being determined to make it happen!

                      Hi Bill

wannabe- I'm sorry. This is a very exclusive club and if you don't know the secret handshake.....

Kat- Being a business owner and your own boss is so much work and soooo rewarding! I hope you find what you're looking for!!

                          Greetings and Salmonations!

Weekends are killer for me.. the lack of structure or stress of being home or I dont know what.

If the cool (read mid 90s lol) weather holds, going to try to go hiking with the kiddos... If not, we will swim, and hit the library. Sunday is church, swimming, and then week prep.

On track for a good Friday!

Wannabe - of COURSE you can post here, silly!!!!!!!!!!! But you can't wear the STACked pink tutu and you have to promise to not share the secret handshake with anyone else.....

Today hasn't really started for me yet. But I have to clean, fix the drain (ugh) do something with the monster mom, think about dinner for tonight (she'll probably have to come over, since I can't afford to take her out to dinner right now what with back-to-school purchases) and get my nails done.

I'm sort of delaying all of this and getting my STACked fix and enjoying all the support you guys keep posting for me.

My dear ex h is not arriving 'til later tonight, and I can't wait. My dh is planning to get him to help replace the garbage disposal (you should see them doing these things. I have photos of them breaking down a wall and installing french doors. They spent 17 hours standing staring at the thing looking wise and thoughtful and smoking cigarettes, and 3 hours doing the actual work! SOOO cute!).

My appetite is NIL. I mean, NIL. I'm trying desperately to keep eating a tiny thing every hour at this point, because I don't want to end up in starvation mode by the time the monster leaves. It's part ketosis, part stress, I'm sure.

                            This, too, shall pass.
