      Yah, none of us look very good in the tutu. But I am trying to organize us so that we can do a performance of The Nutcracker in December. A cyber performance, of course.

      We may force you to participate.......

        As for the weekend, it's Friday night over here, I'm planning on watching Sin City tonight or tomorrow night. Saturday will be mostly doing chores and working on that new FilemakerPro software and book just delivered to me.

        I have reorganized all my book shelves (about 2000 books) and I am still in the progress of sorting and adding the books into a database, checking on what to sell on Amazon or eBay... if the weather is fine I'll hop onto the mountainbike for a trip to several flea markets on Sunday.

          Hi all! Sounds like we're all thinking about the weekend and preparing ourselves for moments of weakness or social events. I have had a wierd transformation with the support of you all with my cheats, and the cheating thread discussion. I think I am past this odd block I had for myself considering sweet treats. I was not allowing myself legal sweets every once in awhile and then would binge on illegal sweets for days--sometimes weeks. But, this week I allowed myself the chocolate mouse for two days and continued to dream about an illegal treat my grandparents had. So, I ate one illegal treat and the craving is gone! What all this means is I think I am learning about the sugar monster in me and how to tame it FINALLY with all your help!!!

              Hi all


              I will join the cheat free weekend challenge. I need it. Tonight we are going out with some friends that we haven't seen in a very long time. We are going to a club to do karaoke. I may have some wine but I won't over do it. That will be my only cheat, if that is a cheat.

              Anyway, I'm just planning to catch up on some rest this weekend. I'm going to go through my recipes and get my hiney to the store and make a bunch of stuff "just in case". Last night I wanted something around 10pm. Nothing in particular, just something. I had my green tea and went to bed. YAYYY me!!! I started induction Monday at 149 and this morning I'm at 143.5!!!! WOOHOOO!!! I did my measurements last night, too so I need to get with the tape measure challenge.

              Anyway, I hope y'all have a great weekend! Fin, hang in there. If it's any consolation, I'll smoke one with ya!!

                Fin-I've been thinking about you. I've read your posts about your Mom. I couldn't hold back any longer. My Mom is off the hook too, girl I feel your pain. The #1 thing to do is to IGNORE her antics, she does it on purpose because she feels she can. She got issues for real, and don't take it to heart, she really has a problem. I wish you the very best. Continue to stand in prayer.

                  Well, I'm back from lunch with the monster. It went ok. No big zingers. DH was there and kept things casual and superficial.

                  She's coming to dinner tonight but I'm darned if I'm cooking. The dish disposal has been causing us fits for 3 days and I don't want to use the sink, so it will be takeout and paper plates. The grocery store has pre-cooked roasted chickens and I'll get some salad, etc. The kids are all going out to escape the dinner. My ex is arriving later. But he has called me 4 times today to offer moral support.

                  I think I am over the big blast of anxiety and I'm just fidgety and nervous now....on guard, but not in crisis mode, thanks to you guys and the rest of my family.

                  I am really grateful that I have another week of summer vacation after she leaves. I will be able to get calm and mellow again, I'm sure.

                  One more thing I want to share. My ex dh just got a job after having been laid off for a long time. He hasn't been able to pay child support in over a year. He is selling his house and called me to tell me that not only is he going to give me money for back child support, but he is going to pay for me and dh to go on a vacation. He said we deserve it..........is that a special guy, or WHAT? I'm a lucky ex-wife.

                      hi all. I thought I posted earlier but I don't see it so i'll go again!

                      today started out kind of crappy and ended really good! yay! I lost 2 pounds after eating ice cream yesterday (go figure) and got TOM today (finally!). My weekend is looking like work work work work. Tomorrow I"ll go to brunch and then go clean my home office so I can start working at my desk. I can't at the moment.

                      sunday will be work. Tomorrow night I think I'm watching the steelers game and then going to a party. yay!

                            The flavor was the "Edy's Special Edition Drumstick" Ice Cream

                            it's like nutty buddy's crushed up into vanilla ice cream - chocolate covered waffle cone and fudge swirls, and peanuts i think. it's soooooooooooo good.

                            I still have some in the freezer, must stop talking about it. Instead let me regale you with tales of my new york strip steak that I had for lunch, and my salmon stuffed with spinach and feta cheese (and pine nuts). Yum.

                            Whenever I fall off the wagon or feel like I'm going to, I try to eat things I don't usually eat everyday. I find that that helps me hop back on the wagon better!

                            (I must have dreamed I posted the ice cream thing in STAC this morning. Wow, what a weird day. But yes, cheated. I've been so good for 6 weeks and then lost it yesterday - it was TOM of course.)
