  • Tuesday update. How is everyone doing?

    Well, I slipped into an 12 hour mini-coma last night. I needed the rest after this weekend, but I missed my exercise and water goals, being that I was asleep .

    I am going to try to pick up yesterdays extra 10 oz. of water in addition to an extra 10 oz. for today.

    Tonight is Tae Kwon Do again, but I also want to add 45 minutes of cardio.

    My only real cheat was stepping on the scale this morning, which I won't do again until day 14.

    So, how is everyone else?

    Hey Tom - where in So Cal are you? I'm in San Diego.

    I, too, slept like the dead last night, then woke up, took my daughter to school, and went back to sleep. Often when I get really tired like this, it's a sign I'm about to drop a pound or two, but I think, like you, it was my weekend doing me in.

    I'm really struggling to be motivated to do anything the past couple of days. Oh, let's be honest - the last couple of weeks. <sigh> Well, it's my last week of vacation, so I won't have any choice at all about it next week......

      I slep in today too! I didn't wake up until like noon!!! I didn't go to bed till late either though. I guess it was probably around 3:30 or 4 SO I guess I got like 8hrs....

        I am doing bad bad bad......Ate Fruit, Finelly put me in my place though LOL!!

        I can say Ive been drinking my water, and am going to the gym tonight, walk the 3 mile park trail tomorrow, gym thursday and walk again friday.

        Hopefully Ill get some energy, I have NONE!!!!!!!!!!!

          Finelly, I am just north of you in San Juan Capistrano (South Orange County).

          I say we make today "motivation day". Let's get on the ball and work on the area(s) that we are slacking in, be it water, exercise, etc.

          I am going to set my motivation targets on my water and exercise today. I will keep this post updated with my results. Anyone else? What do you plan on targeting today?

          My Game Plan --
          48 oz of water before I leave work, and another 32-48 oz. at home.
          1 hour of Tae Kwon Do tonight, followed by 45 minutes of cardio and some strength training.

            Oh, San Juan Capistrano! Sometimes the dh and I will take a drive up there and have breakfast at that restaurant at the train station. I LOVE sitting outside and eating there!

              Hi, checking in

              I got a gallon of water in yesterday. My fats were too high though. I've got to do better today! I did go to the gym last night and did 15 min on the stairmaster and then did 200 crunches.

              I'm going to try again tonight. Although the stairmaster doesn't have a lot of impact on my foot, just having that constant pressure on the ball made it burn pretty bad. I know it will work out eventually. It seems the more I push, the better it feels (a day or 2 later.. LOL)

              I'll try for the gallon again today. I'm a little depressed today. I hate the job that I currently have. I had an interview today on my lunch break, really fun job. The problem with this freakin' state is they want my experience but don't want to pay for it. I get tons of calls for jobs but they want me for less than what I'm making. Sheesh... I guess I'm stuck in this job for EVER!!!! I want to cut my wrists!!!!

                Finelly -- Yea, Sarducci's is a nice place. Good food and good scenery. I had a seared Ahi salad there that was awesome. heh I also attended a company luncheon there and had the waitress accidentally drop a glass of iced tea down my bosses back. I felt really bad for the waitress, as she was red with embarassment. I also struggled not to start laughing out loud .

                  And what kind of work do you do? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a new job for you!

                    Fin, my fats were around 70-74%ish. I couldn't find a way to get them down without going way over my calorie limit.


                    Thanks for the good job wishes. I'll keep plugging along until the employers in this state realize that you get what you pay for. I'm not cheap, but I'll be the best they ever had

                      Woop Fin, forgot to answer your question. I work in accounting for a company that owns radio stations. Sound fun? NOT!!! I actually am the accounts payable manager. Who do I manage? NO ONE!! They don't give raises or bonuses or birthday cards or wedding cards or............................ I'm bored... really REALLY bored!!!!

                        Don't panic about the fats. I'm typically around 70% and sometimes a little higher. It happens because I eat very little meat, so I get my protein from higher fat places.

                        Even if you don't like to be that high, one or two days is immaterial. It may actually HELP you. A lot of people get out of stalls but upping their fat to 73-75%.

                          Really....... hmmmmmm..... so Fin, tell me.......... where do you get your protein from when you don't eat meat? Sometimes I get so tired of eating meat but I don't want to make up for it with eggs. I'm eating all the eggs I can stomach right now. Inquiring minds want to know!

                            Eggs. Cheeses of all kinds. Sour cream in limited quantities. Smoked fish upon occasion.

                            I think I eat meat two or three times a week only. I do a lot of souffle and casserole type things with eggs, so I'm not eating them plain. I also do devilled eggs.

                              Actually, let me be more specific. In the last few days, I've eaten the following types of things in lieu of meat:

                              Microwave pumpkin souffle: 1/4 cup pumpkin (canned), 2 eggs, dash of cream, pumpkin pie spice, dash of splenda. mix and nuke in cereal bowl between 2 and 3 minutes.

                              Devilled eggs.

                              Sour cream thingy

                              Flax seed cracker with chive flavored cream cheese

                              Mock fried rice with cauliflower and scrambled eggs (there's a recipe somewhere on this forum for it, I think)

                              Eggplant au gratin (I posted the recipe on the neverending thread)

                              Slices of zuchini fried in olive oil, topped with shredded parmesan, nuked until melted

                              Rasberry souffle: 3 eggs, 1/4 cup sour cream, DaVinci raspberry syrup, mixed, nuked for 3 minutes.

                              Warm wilted spinach with feta.

                              Zuchini fritters: grated zuchini, 2 eggs, powdered ginger mixed together and fried, topped with salsa or a tiny bit of sour cream.

                              Salmon fritters: Canned salmon, 2 eggs, parmesan cheese mixed and fried in pancake form.

                              I tend to stay within the 4 ounces of cheese although sometimes I have gone over ever so slightly (by maybe a teaspoon of parmesan or something).
