  • Coming soon.....need HELP

    I can't believe I have been away this long!!! But my pants do. And I had to buy FAT clothes since I went from size 1x to size 10 so quickly I didn't have much, even in the attic, where I probably should NOT save fat clothes.

    No time now at lunch to introduce myself or to tell what got me where I am, but as soon as my paycheck hits the bank, I'm stocking up on low-carb stuff and getting back on the wagon. It was kind of cool to log in and see you now have a forum for second time around-ers. (Emphasis on "round"?)

    This board helped me before, and I sure hope I can get back to where I was, if not to my original, although probably out-of-line, goal. I'll be cleaning out the junk food and grinding some flax in the meantime. I just wanted to post so I can't back out of my starting date (again.)

    Good for you! Glad you are back on track, I hat to re-buy FAT summer clothes this summmer & HATED it; I refuse to buy a fat winter wardrobe!!!

          Get yourself set and join an exercise challenge no excuses allowed. Start a journal so folk can help you kick your butt should you jump oiff the wagoin again. Lets see industrial strenght butt glue is somewhere around here,

                1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                what the rungs mean to me:
                rung 1 - more veggies
                rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                rung 4 - berries, melon
                rung 5 - wine -
                rung 6 - beans, hummus
                rung 7 - other fruits
                rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                (on to pre-maintenance)

                  Welcome Smallerizing! Glad you found our group. This is a wonderful place to get back on track. One of my goals will be to get rid of my fat clothes. That is one way of knowing you need to stay on track. I know I didn't want to buy bigger fat clothes. That is why I got back to the Atkins WOE again and it is working. Slower but definatley worth it.

                          Wow, Thanks for the support!!!

                          Shannon, my check gets deposited at midnight tonight, but I just did the arithmetic and there is NOT enough to buy groceries after the bills. Not Atkins groceries, anyway. So I have to make the decision of either gagging down eggs and tuna for a WEEK instead of a day, or delaying my 2big butt-glued ride on the bandwagon for another week.

                          I tried to post the reasons I want to get back on plan, but it didn't "take" so I'll try tonite to do that. And pictures. I need to remind myself where I'm headed. Thanks for the support. I know I can make it when I start... it's .....just ......so ......hard STARTING.

                            Hey there, you poor thing. I am sure there are some folks out there with some great advice on foods to buy that are inexpensive. I am probably not the right person, though because I am a little funny with my meats. I spent a few years as a vegetarian and there are only certain meats I can eat without getting queasy. My best advice is to keep thinking and meditating on it. Roll it around in your mind a few more days if you need to. Think of all the possible scenario's that will come up and how you will be prepared to handle them. Get in your best possible mind and you will be ready when the time comes! Best of luck...

                              I buy a lot of ground beef, hot dogs, sausages, that type of thing. Tuna fish is always a good standby. CHicken thighs, or a whole chicken that you roast and then eat the meat off of. All cheap.

                              Starting is hard, you're right. I've started and started and started and it isn't til you're actually like hey, i want to start!! that it works.
