ok, the hardest part is over.....
I started!!!
Here are my meals so far:
Brfst: One egg fried in butter topped with cheddar to make it palatable, coffee w cream and splenda
Lunch: Can of tuna, celery, diet cola
Snack: 10 Macadamias
Supper: 3 hot dogs w sauerkraut and mustard, 5 grapes
Snack: 5 olives and 1 oz. cheddar
So I didn't use the excuse that came up since I committed to starting today: sure, I'm broke and couldn't afford the hamburger and shrimp and veggies and muffin ingredients that I planned to get, but next Friday will be better. I can certainly put up with icky eggs for a week! Better than adding another 2-3 pounds like I've been doing. I can't even fit my BIG jeans! (No, not the size 1x, I mean the size 12's!!!) If I keep doing this WOE half-hearted like I've been doing, I will have no problem fitting into the 1x's in the attic!!! Although I will want to STAY in the attic!
I started a migraine in late morning, but got it under control with some aspirin, acetominophen, and caffeine at lunch. I don't think it was carb withdrawal, though since it was too early to have mattered. I never did eat junk for breakfast even when binging. And I'm not nearly as exhausted as I have been, usually starting at 3pm, classic low blood sugar.
This time I'm not listening to the do-gooders that have told me I'm too thin or that I deserve to eat the carbs I love. They don't have to live in this body. The one with the deteriorating discs that hurt so bad I had to stop once on the way home from work, just to stretch and get off my fat butt. I know it's the extra 27 pounds that is making it worse, along with my knee. I had maintained at about 129-133 for about a year, and my back was lots better than the month before I started Atkins and was about to have surgery.
I really do need to lose. Not just to get into the cute clothes (which went up in the attic about 2 months ago), but for my health first of all. Wish me well, and I'll keep posting to keep myself in line!! It really did help before and I know it will again.

Do the best you can this week since you don't have a ton of money for the good stuff, and know that you're one day along the path to ketosis-ville!

My REALLY FAT pictures were always shocking, too.
