  • Seven Day Challenge

    Ok, it's Monday, the Monday before Thanksgiving. I hereby challenge anyone who's game to the following for seven straight days:

    1. Drink at least 80 oz of water per day.
    2. Get some form of cardio exercise for 30 minutes each day.
    3. Post positive notes to yourself on the fridge, the bathroom mirror, and right by your bed. ("I'm losing inches!" "I can stick to the WOE" "I'm committed to my own health", etc)
    4. Post on this board at least 2 times per day to check in.
    5. Do a minimum of one nice, nurturing thing for yourself each day (bubble bath, jacuzzi, manicure, 1/2 hour with a good book in peace and quiet, whatever makes you feel good)

                  Ok, well, yesterday was Day 1 and I drank my water, worked out, ate right, and posted 2 sticky notes to myself on the bathroom mirror: one said "Thanksgiving is to give thanks, not eat carbs, you cute thang, you!" and the other said "I am getting smaller every day".

                  I also went to the bookstore and got a new book to read, so that takes care of the nice thing for myself.

                  Today I have worked out, been drinking my water, and my daughter is coming over soon to go to coffee with me, chat for an hour, and then we're getting a pedicure. I've added one post-it to the mirror that says "Wow, what happened to your double chin?"

                  How's it going for the rest of you?

                    Fin I just cant compete with your list!

                    I just kept busy. I am going to be starting up a baby afghan soon though to keep myself busy in the evenings now that the sun goes down at NOON around here.

                    (no not really noon but early enough and I HATE it this time of year when its all dark and cold and did I mention DARK???)
