Re: Checking in with the new inductees

I dont eat string cheese so cant answer that....... Sorry! Im guessing they are at least an ounce per stick, maybe 1.5 oz? Do you have a kitchen scale to check one out. Better yet, check the label on the bag and see what it says a serving weighs. Im gonna be sure to look when I go the grocery store again!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Sugargirl............... your ketosis lack of appetite is kicking in! I consider that to be THE best benefit of this woe!

      Hello Elmark!

Shannon..... Hang in there......... You can do this! Im rooting for ya!

          Hi Rissa

Hang on and that flu will go away. If you are able, try some tylenol or iboprofen to ease that headache and drink lots of water to help flush out your system. <hug>

Re: Checking in with the new inductees

              Hi everyone

Day 4 and I'm good to go! Had a 4lb loss yesterday/last night so that's always motivating..hehe. Mostly water I'm sure, but that's okay...had to happen at some point!

Anyone else notice that instead of constipation, they are the opposite? It was the same for me last time, and I'm experiencing it again this time. I know it's not the norm and I'm just wondering if anyone else is the same?

Re: Checking in with the new inductees

now this is my first post since stac, but i havent been able to walk much around cause of a pulled muscle in my leg, but i've been really good on not back sliding on the eating staying with the friendly stuff except i did eat a couple of pieces of carb controlled bread yesterday...but i thought that was better thatn the brownies sitting there....but i can say that the scale hasnt moved much but i realized that im not walking and not drinking the water i need to be drinking so today i did start drinking more water and my leg is feeling better so hopefully tomorrow i will be able to do a few laps....

but keep up the good work everyone...and lets see where this road takes us we can do it again....i only put on about 20 pounds of the 45 i lost but it did take a year to put it on, and hopefully only a few months to take it back off....

                  sorry for babbling.....

Re: Checking in with the new inductees

                      well I am reporting in.

first to Cesara, I had that problem my first time on induction, thankfully this time it doesn't seem to be too bad.

Now for me. I am on Day 3. I have managed to make it so far with no cheats, no diet cokes, no "induction friendly" desserts. I even somewhat gave up coffee, I say somewhat because I had one cup this morning with cream and a sweetner, but I think once every 3 days can't be too bad, right?
I have walked everyday during my lunch break (about 30-40 mins a day) - but unfortunately I have not started back pilates like I planned. I know I need to, but truthfully I am just getting over some kind of a flu, and still not quite feeling up to it when I get home. Hopefully in a few days.

Ok that is me so far. 2.5 days down...

oh and one more thing. I have made a connscious effort this time not to weigh or measure...and yes I know it can be a very very rewarding thing to see that tape measure going down; but last time I seriously obsessed about it, weighing or measuring 4-5X a day!! This time I want to try not to be so obsessive, this time I plan to measure success by how my clothes fit, and which clothes I can get back into...

Oh Elmark, I know exactly what you mean. I used to totally torture myself with the scale. I guess for me part of not getting on the scale this time is that I don’t want to know how much I gained back, the other part of it is that I truly don’t want to fall back into its trap!

I know how you feel Pammie. I really didn't want to know how much I had gained back, but like you I was finding it difficult to find anything to wear. I had given most of my bigger clothes to Goodwill or thrown them out when I lost the weight before. One of the hardest things to do was to get on the scale now, see the truth and change my weight on my profile here. Thankfully everyone here is supportive and will help me get back to where I was, and hopefully even less than that.

The scale can be your best friend and at the same time your worst enemy. Just try not to give it all the power.

Choose to make your tape measure the proof of your accomplishments. Remember that you can stay the same weight but be losing inches at the same time.

                                Keep up the good work!
